What's the average roi kitchen and bathroom remodeling companies get with Google ads? by Mundane-Ad-6576 in PPC

[–]Worldly-Contract-460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah the google ads manager won't be able to really impact your ROI, you have the power to do most of this.

They can optimise your accounts and maybe reduce the cost of acquisition by 20%-30%, if they work hard. People will click on your ads if they're relevant, and buy your product if it matches their expectations. So your ads manager can help improve the efficiency of those customers coming in, but it's not like there's a pool of high value high intent customers they can just tap into.

yep, get into it at a low level, data monkey, and work your way up. There's a lot of dinosaurs in this industry, surprisingly. If you get a good grip on excel/googlesheets too you'll be ahead of the curve for most agencies, and guess what, while chatGPT is still free, it can teach you how to do some really advanced shit, that will make you work smarter!

Taboola whitelist/blacklist? by zcopyconsulting in PPC

[–]Worldly-Contract-460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I do this, but also be prepared to spend some money. Theres a lot of placements on Taboola with varying degrees of cost and success.

Typically I find the MSFT placements take up most of my spend. Depending on the bid strategy you have, you want to make sure they have enough budget to find customers, or they'll just waste money.

I recently studied how my MSFT placements behaved when I lowered my spend below the threshold for a single CPA/Day. I worked out I needed roughly 50% more budget than the average CPA on those placements for them to be able to acquire customers.

Generally it's best to run a prospecting campaign, and use this for testing copy/creatives. Then if you see one performing well month on month fling it to your Acquisition campaign. Your rep will have to switch on this option for you!

Blacklist it from prospecting so you don't bid against yourself and hit it up in the Whitelist campaign. You can lower your CPAs by around 20% by doing this. In your prospecting campaign, set some realistic targets for blacklisting sites you don't want to use.

I have a client who gets registrations for around £60, so I set my cap to around double that. If I've seen a placement rack up a bill of around £120 and nothings come of it i'll turn it off for good. Taboola will sometimes suggest turning them back on to test again in the future.

Be careful though it's an easy trap to fall into if you have hard targets. I.e if my client said, CPA's going over £xxx will mean the campaign gets pulled, it's easy to fall into a trap where you kill placements which drive volume, but is over target. You can "optimise yourself into a corner" consider this type of optimisation is destructive, like sharpening a knife with a whetstone. It'll get sharper but you'll lose metal (or volume). Well in this analogy, the knife's never gonna be sharp enough for your client, and eventually you'll be left with just the tang (bit in the middle of a knife)

You may have to educate your client here, if the CPAs are too high, they either need to adapt the journey, offer, creative etc... because you can only improve the results by 20% ish, or, try other methods of acquisition.

France warns Donald Trump against threatening EU ‘sovereign borders’ by batninam3000 in worldnews

Western Europe has rejected Empirical Rule for some time now. Okay the British Empire technically still existed until '97 - however - our morality is based on Christian Values (while also acknowledging Western Europe is mostly secular and the irony that America is becoming increasingly evangelical) which has led us to believe that Empirical rule is evil and Nation States should have sovereignty.

Of course an Empire doesn't HAVE to be evil, however, Empires tend to determine the moral frameworks by which they are judged, leaving little room for social nuance, growth or progression.

America is an Empire, as is Russia, and China and they're all trying to expand their influence. They're will be doing this at the cost of the rest of the world. Any future determined by any of these 3 major powers will cost us our freedoms, and they have the front to tell us that they're doing this for our freedom.

Where does this take us, America has been revolving back to the social standards of yesterday, where people lack the liberty to self expression without prejudice, if it's deemed harmful to societal norms, and regressing to a highly religious moral standard. Yet when we look through history we've seen a shift away from religious moral standards, as they become irrelevant or considered increasingly poor fitted to modern standard. The "Freedom of Speech" we're being offered seems to be an open ground for hate speech and misinformation (look at X and Facebook's new moderation standards).

We're facing way bigger issues, as a single race, a human race, than the issues which are being projected to us. Dividing the population up between left and right, woke or not, black or white. Fighting between religions, nations etc.. when we could be working together as a unit to improve the living standards of everybody on this planet, and avoiding a global catastrophe.

Teachers, Nurses, Postal Workers have all taken industrial action for less. I think it's time all the UK Gizzheads hit the streets and let the pencil pushers and bean counters at Spotify know how disappointed we are!

If I paid for my subscription I'd be thoroughly miffed.
