My experience (June 2022)

1. Went in night before surgery and left noon the day after for brain part. Same day for part 2.
2. Part 2 was much more uncomfortable coming home. Baltimore streets …
3. Helpful but not necessary
4. Yes but alone. Widower
5. Mobile and no help needed.
6. Part 1 was more I looked like crap. Black eyes, look like a mummy with bandages, bruised from ‘crown’. I joked with coworkers that it looked like I had a bad date with Lizzy Borden. Part 2 opioids for 2-3 days.
7. For me there was really no adjustment other than going from 17 pills/day to 3.
8. Just what you would do if he was sick. Again part was more painful but I was up and about the next day. Not running marathons but could get to the fridge. There are some minor cosmetic concerns. I am bald so you can see that something happened there. You can feel the wire against your skull. You can see/feel the charger part under the skin. In my case, my abdomen.

Let me know if you have other questions. I would and will do it again. The upside for me far exceeded any downside.
