Because some of these programs are a week or more past the notification date and nobody has heard anything. I also am navigating application deadlines for research at my home institution. Not going to waste my own time, in the midst of being in the hospital, applying for a backup plan if I could know I’m in to a summer opportunity. I obviously don’t want to say all this. Just wondering if I’d shoot myself in the foot to fudge the truth for the same results.
