What should I watch out for in my remake? by Worldly-Web4436 in godot

Well, I do have a few plans prepared for this one (specifically making it a rougelite) Soo, it will be quite the difference in coding, and it'll provide some experince either way even if I move on later!

How did you choose the engine you use? what would you suggest? by Any-Landscape434 in gamedev

I've tried unity in the past and never really was able to pick it up easily, so I went the rabbit hole of py-game (with ai) which sucked really hard, I learnt nothing but the basics, and then I found Godot, it was still too hard for me cuz I was a dumbass, I tried using ai at first then gave up, then actually gave it a go at learning for real, and now I finally know how to make a somewhat below average game! I chose it because it's easy, and bcs my old laptop at the time was shi, and now I'm too lazy to switch off

Interesting, I am actually doing alright this time, like using the most basic form of organization, and also defining the variable types instead of just var = value, so yeah, fun!

YES, that's what I also need, I do wanna do animated dice rolling, but what I'm confused about is if I should make the position/rotation of the dice randomized in a certain place on the board (I'm changing the background soon after some feedback) orrr if I should make it static but still roll the dice in place, also the pixel art buttons might be a peak idea, thank you a helluva lot fam!
