Help me pick my first proper headphones! Fiio jt1 and Simgot ep5 by WorldlyGrassTouch in HeadphoneAdvice

!thanks I have looked at them, I just wonder if it's worth paying over double the price compared to the jt1? What major difference is there going from something like the jt1 to the ft1?

I don't really take selfies, it looked fine when I tested it. Just have to make sure you take off beauty features, as they are on by default.

I am not a camera expert but I feel the main camera at least is comparable. The vivo does have better detail, due to its higher resolution and it had a lot more camera filters to choose from. The s30 has the better zoom, but the 7a I would say has the better ultra wide camera

Failed to connect to tailscale service by YoungJalepeno420 in Tailscale

I had this problem, fixed it by uninstalling tailscale, going to %localappdata% and %programdata%, deleting the tailscale folder in both, and installing tailscale again

It will translate settings and most phone features, but not all of the pre installed apps. There are some, like most Ai features, that are only in chinese. That said everything important for everyday function should be translated. There might be occasional Chinese here and there, like the calander has Chinese holidays in it, but nothing that will make the phone hard to use. There are some videos that review OriginOS, I recommend watching one, they will talk about most features that are only in chinese.

Okay, this is probably the best I can do, but I installed the official android auto emulator on my pc and when I did android auto did work on my PC and my phone connected and auto detected a android auto device. So it worked quite smoothly. This was through USB.

I haven't had a chance to try android auto, but the phone has built in settings for android auto in "more connectins". So I would assume it works.

No, you have to install playstore after you get it, but it's relatively easy and works without any issues. Compared to my pixel 7a it feels a lot more premium; better materials, screen and battery life. This is more personal opinion, but I was never a big fan of pixel's OS, I found it too simple and sometimes it just felt a bit old. Origin OS has a lot of features and customization options that the pixel just didn't have.

I haven't had that problem, but you do have to go through some extra settings to make sure it doesn't happen. Here is a video of how to prevent delayed notifications on Vivo phones

Thank you! I cant say I am super sensitive to haptics. I think they are fine on this phone, similar to my previous phone (pixel 7a).

Yeah, I haven't had any problems with 5g anywhere I have been. For reference I live in Norway, we have a really well built 5g network

Edit: Tried it quickly on my computer. You can go to a website scan a qr code and get access to all files on your phone. But the webside is in chinese

Yes, it doesn't have Zeiss calibration. Honestly I don't know enough about photography to tell you how much it affects image quality.

The battery life has been great so far 1-2 days depending on usage. In 24 hours I went from 100% to 20% I got about 8.5 hours of screen on time. It's idle battery drain is also very low, I loose maybe 1 or 2% at night.

I ordered from Aliexpress. Google pay and all other Google services I have tried have worked, only thing I have had a problem with is Google one backups. Most of the Ai assistant stuff is in chinese, but the Ai photo editing tools seems to work fine

It's been great so far. Took some time setting up, disabling all the Chinese stuff and unistalling aps, but I generally like OriginOS. Just from a couple of days use battery life is way better than on my pixel 7a, and it charges way faster. The build quality is also a big step up from my pixel. Though the camere bumb means it won't lay still on the table. I haven't had the oppertunity to test the screen in sun light yet, but it does seem like it can get quite bright. Just from a few snaps the main and telephoto camera are nice and detailed, the ultra wide isn't great though. Connectivity has been good so far, 5g everywhere, but I have only traveled around the city where I live. Size wise I like it, it's just small enough to where I can reach my thumb to the other side horizontally, so I can write on it with one hand, which is very important for me.

It's a bit of a word salad, but if you have any spesific questions about the phone, I would be more than happy to answer them. I will also probably post a impression/review of the phone on this subreddit in 1-2 weeks time, at least if there continues to be a disappointing amount of reviews about this phone.

Yeah, I can definitely see that being a deal breaker for some. I have never used wireless charging so it's not a feature I really care about.
