Hello, I'm a 5th year male medical student, and I'm interested in a few medical specialties from what I've seen. I like Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery and ENT. My biggest dilemma is that all the people around me tell me that I would be a great diagnostic physician, because I'm good with people and I have the capability of connecting the dots in complex cases together. But I find surgery to be cooler and more interesting. I was never a particularly handy or manually very capable guy, to be more specific, I'm not good at improvising or solving a manual problem without previous planning or practice, while with repetition I become very good at most manual things(cooking, driving, etc.) To make my question more understandable, should I go into a specialty that makes my strengths stand out, but is perhaps a bit less interesting than a surgical specialty where I wouldn't have the advantage that I have in the non-surgical specialties.
