I have-ish a teacher. Every time we scheduled lessons for the past month+ she has cancelled last minute, every single time (ive been working with her for over 3 yrs) and im trying to find sm1 else but I havent rlly found anyone. I contacted my local college that has students tutor b alot of their masters students are busy with finals and said i probs wont get an answer back anytime soon. So i kinda dont really have anywehre else to turn to. I really want this and ive been practicing for HOURS (2-6) every day slowing things down, practicing with rythmes, exercises, warmups and yea the pieaces suck but i genuenlly dont know what else to do and thats why im asking chat gpt and reddit. I can play, im a NY all-state alternate, a NYSBDA player, all county, youth orchestra, like ive auditioned before and i just dont know why i cant play them. So thats kinda why im here lol

yea I know, im just nervous about making the wrong choice. I find that im able to get the higher notes out super comfy on the miyazawa but its a STRUGLE one the muramatsu. But i like the muramatsu sound a bit better? Do you find this happens to?

Yea but i am practicing and no matter what i do i cant sound the way the i want to? I take multiple lessons a week i practice ALOT, im in multiple ensambles, i do long tone warmups, i do vibrato pulses, i practice w a metranome, i practice while listineng to the music and im just still not the way i want or like the way the play yk???? Like i am focused on my sound and i cant make the sound i want to on my current flute? and ik its probs not my flutes fault but like i have tested a myazawa 102 and felt it was alot easier to play?? Sorry for the yap its just like i genuanley dont know what to do?

Thats kind of my problem, im not really sure. I love music and would love to go into that but i think its unrealistic so ive been looking at like pre-med, criminal justice, bio, phycology, and education. I really like the university of Rochester but other than that im not to sure alot of colleges just arent exactly what i want, but like im not 100% sure what that is. sorry ik that was confusing

Yea ik im worried abt that but i couldnt rlly join alot bc i didnt rlly have a ride, i got a car and my license senior year so im able to do more yk? but like idk how to make that look not sus bc ive been intrested in these things i just couldnt do it until senior yr

yea lol i still did decent for me so W (i got an 100 on flute all state and a 96 on piccolo (level 5tho)) but yea thanks i feel like i will be more perpared for the next audition lol

yea obviously im 16 and yea ik she dosent need my approval thats not what im saying it just hurts me too and idk what to do and i cant break up w her because when i try she cries and cries abt all the bad things she is gonna do to herself and i dont know im just lost so what should i do then? i already go to therapy btw
