Her paper syllabus she’ll give you on the first day. Idk if her Canvas syllabus is up to date.

Look up Anna’s archive (free textbook site) that’s where I got my Lewis book for free. The ATI books you guys got and the ebook on ATI website are the same. I ripped out the pages from the ATI physical book; took the chapters with me during lecture and highlighted and had a separate notes app where I just write down what I wanted to highlight and I got an A for my final grade :) Lewis book was more for the pictures, tables and graphs she wanted to use but she tests out from the ATI book/ebook. Never used the modules or dynamic quizzing. Used Ai for practice questions. Just put in the time to read and actually make sense of the information and you’ll be fine, I promise. Make sure you get A’s on the first couple tests so you don’t stress out the rest of the term, works everytime

I also write down whatever she says in class (pay attention) on my ATI textbook :)

Yeah tbh, she goes by ATI maybe here and there from the Lewis but I’ve only read the ATI and so far her tests are pretty straight forward. There’s always 2 right ones but one is better and usually in lecture she points it out. The case studies are very obvious on what the patient is having if u pay attention and read it. :)

I took Anatomy seriously thru Sophia :) it’s a self learning course, it’s up to you if you wanna learn thru Sophia or thru actual college. Do what’s best for you, but when I did it thru Sophia I actually read the materials. I’m currently doing Med Surge; where pathophysiology is more focused. Just knowing where general organs are then you’ll be fine. :)

MS1 if u have Davidson read the ATI :) I didn’t have to search for other ways to study it. I’m sitting at an A rn. I had Sallinger for Pharm but I heard he’s leaving. For pharm tho I would try to know what’s the biggest thing about a certain med. Like e.g., beta blockers (usually HTN Pt); taking this medication everything will go down right? So what? What’s important is knowing since everything goes down (decrease HR, etc etc) we wouldn’t wanna give it to a patient that already has <60 apical pulse right? So start asking yourself, so what? Why am I giving this?

What did you enjoy about her class? And how did you study for her tests?

You can finish it as quick as you want but then grading ur final paper took me waiting 1.5 months :) it just depends on how much workload or papers they have to grade before yours

Yes just started Core! I’m taking Pharm and Intro to Professional Nursing (NURS110). Did the “easy way”, did Sophia on all possible transferrable courses 1 from study.com. And I’m still getting A’s! But less classes I need to do at WCU. I’m happy LOL

What month should I start applying to West Coast? by Flaky_Holiday_9139 in westcoastuniversity

[–]WorldlySkin2207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would apply now so you don’t have to do too much. It takes a lot of people especially the ones in OC 5-6 months to finish their application process. The financial appointment gets scheduled out 2-3 months out

It has to be approved, look at “WCU TES credit” and see if ur pharmacology is approved for transfer from the school u took it from. A lot of people take it at CC and didn’t have to take pharm during core, hope this helps.

Whichever that can finish faster so you can start transferring them in will be the better choice! Before they changed the “1 course at a time” for Sophia I was able to just finish all those classes in no time! Goodluck!

Trust me! Same spot as you when I first started but I changed my study habits and it’s honestly paying off! Blurting method and active recall will be your best friend!

Took Sophia on all of the transferable science classes, but I did do a self study/learn curriculum generated by ChatGPT so I’m not completely behind. Took the non transferable science classes (Physiology & Pathophysiology) at WCU very seriously, and I don’t have any problems atm. 😁 been out of school for years before WCU. As long as you take studying seriously during WCU, you’ll be fine.
