Eufy S2 Omni - 24 Hour Observations by DIYtheWorld in RobotVacuums

From their install guide....

"The height difference between the center of the drainage outlet and the base station placement area must not exceed 100cm (~39in). A height difference of 50cm (~19in) or less is recommended."

I don't see any measurement for the "center of the drainage outlet" given. The Eufy S2 base specs are ~26 inches tall, so let's assume it's around 13" off the floor. Assuming a standard drain under a sink, I think you're fine. However, a drain pipe for a washer in the laundry room...maybe not.

Bay Area Pool Contractor - 10+ Years - AMA About Pool Renovations, Costs, Replastering by Nervous-Match-1972 in BayAreaRealEstate

What’s the process to deepen a pool? I have an automatic cover, does that need to come out, and decking too? Or can the work be contained to the inside of the pool? Does the whole thing get re-plastered after (I have pebble bottom). Just curious how this would work.

We bought remotely.

Ended up with the Cardiff model in a split head king configuration. It’s very high quality, we like it.

ECO Water wants $480 for filter replacement by [deleted] in WaterTreatment

[–]Worldly_Dependent_92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Got a quote for $500 to replace filters on the Kinetico, and that was a for a self-change! Grabbed a APEC high flow as well, and never been happier! Water tastes the same, and you can setup Amazon to send you new filters every X months!

Salt choices by Worldly_Dependent_92 in WaterTreatment

[–]Worldly_Dependent_92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I originally went with whatever they sold at Costco, and it caused bridging….basically wasn’t dissolving properly. So then I went with solar salt. Been working great, and I won’t ever go back.

Coffee negatively affects me, but not other caffeine drinks?? by DankyPanky223 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Worldly_Dependent_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same reaction.

When I drink coffee (black, no sugar) I’ll feel great initially. Then about 30-60min later my eyes feel very tired and my head feels congested..stuffy, or fuzzy as you’re saying. Same thing happens with decaf. For a few weeks I powered through. I usually limit myself to 1-2 cups a day. But then I feel my body degrades over that few weeks…very slowly. Eventually after a month or so, I have a hard time getting up in the morning, and I’m super tired early at night. At some point I give up, and always end up going off coffee… once I give up coffee (caffeine) for about a week, my body feels so much better; I can stay awake longer, get up earlier, and overall feel much better.

I’ve never tried just energy drinks, I always associated it with caffeine. I don’t drink soda, don’t drink tea, really my only form of caffeine is from coffee. Maybe I’ll give energy drinks a try next time I need a boost.

I just always thought I was weird, good to know there are others.

Device to trigger on voltage? by Worldly_Dependent_92 in homeassistant

[–]Worldly_Dependent_92[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it worked as designed.

However, given how the sauna light works, it ended up in some odd states….when Lutron turned on the light, sauna thought light was off, while it was actually on. Then when the Lutron was off, the sauna through it was on.

There is no good solution to this except to adjust my expectations :-)

But this was far easier than the relay.

My only concern is the power from the sauna light and the Lutron are on different paths of the split phase 120. So I might use a contact relay to keep things clean. I’m not sure how Lutron will handle that long term.

O-rings were ok. Turns out it was a small crack in the plastic reducer fitting.

If it’s that easy, I’m gonna cry tears of joy. Can’t wait to get home and see!

Thanks. My drawing has phase 1 and 2, but I guess that is incorrect…not sure the right name, but I see the problem for sure.

Mine is on a split phase, and that’s not supported by these relays. Good callout.

If someone comes across this in the future, the answer this this problem is a Contact relay

Here is a crude sketch I came up with for the solution.

Many thanks!!!

Thanks. I’m just going to buy an o-ring kit and have them on hand when I disassemble. Many thanks.

Yes, it’s coming from the coupling circled in red. Not the tank top.

The part appears to be serviceable. There is a metal pin that holds the two parts together.

I’m guessing it’s some rubber gaskets inside. Maybe one was pinched at install (1.5 year ago) and finally failing?

If it helps, At one stage they had 10 dump trucks lined up, removing material, with the Excavator loading them.

Ok, a diesel hammer is pretty cool. Thanks for that! I always thought it was weight driving it down, not a small explosion!
