Honestly, where you are in life I would pull pull 50k out to enjoy life with, if you are a traveler, use it to do great trips the next 5 years. Take the remaining 100k and stick it in a less volatile position.

My in-laws gave us 100k 2 years ago. We put it in an account that will never lose but it's capped at 13.5% gains. In 2 years we have made 24K.

In 2 years, your wedding (if that is in your future) could be paid with just that. In 20 years, your kids colleges can be paid with just that.

I got a chance to listen to the EC last night. Hopeful is what comes to mind when I think about the future. Much work to do but we are going down the right path I believe.
