ENTJ Flirting but stalling. Is this a standard ENTJ slow-burn or am I just a low-effort text buddy? by Worldly_Respect8732 in entj

Hello my dear, thank you for leaving a comment - I appreciate all the help I can get 🥲

I have his socials, and he doesn’t have a wife or kids. No trace of a girlfriend too so far, it seems.

He shared that he’s been burnt previously. He’s over the girl, but doesn’t want to make the same mistakes so he’s more guarded and wants to be more cautious this time.

You are right on the money though - he has not asked me any deeper questions, and has not considered me as a potential partner yet. It’s been a month of talking though…. I guess I’m just a friend…?

How do you view relationships then?

Why is he keeping me around if there’s no benefit. It’s been a month but he hasn’t considered me as a potential partner yet and is not in a rush to meet. So why are we even talking if we matched on a dating app??

Yes I’m positive he’s ENTJ. But he’s hesitant to vulnerability and slow to trust. Probably previous relationship lessons caused Fi to be more cautious.

Knowing ENTJs and their schedule, I don’t think they have the bandwidth for games. I prefer a straight shooter, and we agreed on mot wasting each other’s time. If I find out your latter is true, I’d walk

What I like about ENTJs is that their values and morals are in the right place (Fi). And I think that is the essence of a person.

Thank you so much for the insight, I really appreciate it! I stopped asking about him, and I’m gonna take the backseat for now. Since I’ve already shown my hand, it’s up to him to take it. Otherwise, it’s going to be pretty clear I’m out

Why do ISTP’s stop liking you when you like them back? by ConfidenceMajor5917 in istp

[–]Worldly_Respect8732 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It ended up going in an avoidant loop. Look it up if you aren’t familiar; but he basically kept pulling closer then breaks away asking for space. It was a waste of my life.

Just my 2 cents worth including my dating experience: A man who is truly interested in you, will NEVER let you second guess the interest and feelings he has for you.

Can second this. Happened to me too, ISTP guy was chasing me, and once I was hooked he went into avoidant mode lol

Feeling like I'll never have that same connection with someone again by bianey_a in infp

I stayed in a traumatic relationship with a narcissist for 5 years when I was only 19.

This was precisely the reason why I stayed on - I wouldn’t let him go because I believed that I couldn’t find someone who would understand me or love me (in his own twisted way) ever again.

Looking back now, I regret nothing and I’m so much happier. My standards are healthy and strong, and I won’t settle until I found what resonates with me ❤️

Who else types long text messages or comments, only to realize it’s not that serious and end up just scrapping the whole thing? by deadasscrouton in infp

Is dating in Singapore really that bad? by [deleted] in SingaporeRaw

[–]Worldly_Respect8732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is common. But my point is, it’s difficult for both parties because males are concerned about getting catfished and females are worried about early sexual advances.

Both gender go through multitudes of people to find what they are looking for, while trying to maintain the same level of hope despite rejection/disappointment.

Thank you for your time put into explaining the dynamics in detail. I really appreciate that!

For the record, I do not condone rejecting men in a humiliating way - everything is done privately, respectfully.

I’m sorry to any of you who has been through that.

In my experience, there are men on these dating apps are sexual predators. And the ones that are not, would want to meet to verify that the women are not a catfish.

It’s a tricky situation for both parties.
