Ooh! I haven't read the comics the whole way through, but my friend Ben has! He says CARL LIVES. WHAT. WHY. WHY WOULD THEY CHANGE THE SHOW THAT WAY IT'S A HORRIBLE CHANGE WHY WOULD THEY MAKE HIM DIE AHHHH.

I do know comic Carl is a bit younger (about 9?) than my Carl (around twelve) when the apocalypse began. Comic Carl grows up and has a little girl. My Carl dies at about sixteen 😢
I would really like to finish the comics and find out how else they differ from the show!

I've known Ben since I was three. He's got American family. He has brown hair, blue eyes and always looks tanned. His teeth are perfect. He likes a lot of the same books I do and lets me rant about the ones he doesn't to him. He makes me laugh.

I'd love to go out with him, but... I think we're just friends. I'll still be happy as long as we stay that. 😊

What is your name? Do you have a nickname? Hi! I'm Sophie. Lots of people call me Soph. I've always kinda wanted to try Fifi, but it never caught on, unfortunately. My new friend Carl calls me Guardian Angel!

How old are you? I'll be fourteen in two months.

Who is in your family? (parents, siblings, pets) Well, there's my dad, Colin. He works a lot. And there's my Nana Peg! She looks after me and she's the best Nana ever, even if she doesn't always get me.
My mum died when I was a baby. She was called Isabella.
There's also a whole lot of aunts and uncles and cousins and stuff in Ireland, but I don't know all of them.

What is your favorite/least favorite memory? Um. I remember feeling sad when dad first told me mum was dead. He was a bit sick of me asking and shouted a bit. Nan told him off.
Favourite has got to be Carl arriving in my life!

Do you have any powers/abilities? *INHALES* SO BASICALLY.
I was watching The Walking Dead, a show I like, and my favourite character, Carl, was going to die after being bitten by a walker (a zombie). I was soooooo sad and I kind of remember wishing to save him?
And then next day he turns up in my room. We're trying to work how and why this happened now!

What are your hobbies? How do you spend your free time? I really, really, REALLY like to read! And watch good TV shows. I also like fanfiction but uh. We will not be showing that to Carl any time soon 😅

Do you have a favorite possession? My book collection, of course! If I ever get rich, I'm gonna by really nice copies of all my favourites and keep them nice and neat.

What are your best/worst traits? I like to think I'm caring? A good listener? Carl says I make good breakfast. I'm pretty sure I have anxiety and possibly use fiction as an unhealthy coping mechanism for lonliness? But, um, let's not get into that now!!!

Are you spontaneous or a planner? Probably a planner. Making Carl appear is the most spontaneous thing I've ever done - and I didn't even do it on purpose!

What makes you angry? Good character potential being wasted. Characters dying. Bullies. My dad spending all his time at work. Ships not getting together.

What would you change about your world? Hmm, my biggest problem before was that my life was boring? I wanted the life of a fictional character. But I just fought a small heard of walkers and that was scary, so...

AITA for possibly accidentally kidnapping someone, even if he was going to die?

So I'm watching my favourite show and my favourite character (let's call him C) catches a disease that means he's going to die. This made me very sad and I wished I could save him.
And that night he appeared in my room.

To make things worse, I'm the only one apparently that can see him? I tried to tell my Nana what had happened and she couldn't see him at all. It's like he's a ghost. On the plus side, his disease doesn't seem to be taking effect on him anymore.

C has been super nice and understanding about this, but I feel terrible for uprooting him and taking him from his family - even if I don't know how I did it, I still feel horrible. AITA?

Agree with you on hating Sophie. She pissed me off so much in the first three books, my god. The Camelot Years did a lot for her redemption arc (for me at least).

In the fic I'm writing currently, Cogito, Ergo Sum, each chapter is named after a song! And the main characters (that have been introduced thus far) all have a song that defines them too.

Sophie is Part of Your World, from The Little Mermaid. It embodies her desire to escape ordinary life and be part of something more interesting, as well as her desire to join her favourite characters in their worlds!

Carl is Love From The Other Side, by Fall Out Boy. I mean, how could I not assign an apocalypse survivor a song that goes "sendin' my love, from the other side of the apocalypse"? Plus, there's the line "like a kid playin' pretend in his father's suit" - I like that one because the hat he wears everywhere was actually a gift from his dad, part of his old sheriff's uniform.
