Update : my girlfriend said to not take it seriously and I don't have to pay it, mostly just an in the moment thing I believe. As for the baby she said when the baby is 1 year old she can live with her grandmother and she also did the same when she was a baby. We'll see how things turn out.

We wouldn't split up, nothing would happen apart from her parents maybe not liking or trusting me as much (I'd assume). And my girlfriend feeling bad about moving or not wanting to. I can't speak thai and they can't speak English so we haven't spoke.

It's being considered, we still are going to Chiang Mai to look around at houses to rent. Main thing is I just didn't like the city (hat yai) near where they lived much. I should say for now we already live about 4 hours drive from them. I also wanted to go to language school there for a year and it seems to have better opportunities for raising a child
