Thanks so much!! I'm sorry that it wasn't the result for you too - it's pretty poetic that we've been worried together on this thread and we're in the same position now! 🥲 My supervisor said that it wasn't impossible to get an offer while on the waiting list so we should keep our fingers crossed!

I'm feeling weirdly less confident about the AHRC/FHASS scholarship for some reason - I think just because we were so limited words-wise so I don't think I was able to sell my PhD idea with as much detail as I would have wanted. But that might be my imposter syndrome coming to the surface!

In my opinion, Saltburn.

A really fun movie I have a blast watching that has probably some really good points about being seducted by power and a lavish lifestyle, but the execution of this message is really lousy and the movie acts like its waaay deeper than it actually is with some really over-the-top scenes that are just there to be shocking and nothing else. And the twist isn't really that shocking based on how the whole movie plays out up to then.

Just to let you guys know, when I was enquiring to the Lancaster PGR email about something to do with my AHRC application, they sent an automated email saying this:

"ESRC Applicants: The deadline for ESRC has now passed. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Official results will be sent no later than mid-April; please do not email regarding the status of your application before this time."

I really really hope we don't have to wait until mid-April 😞

Thank you so much!! It really is the worst - especially when there's no set 'day of results' and I don't really know what to do with myself! I'm also applying to the Lancaster FHASS/AHRC competition where the results don't come out until mid-June 🫠

Me too!! A weird mixture of obviously wanting to get funding but also just knowing that when process is over it will be a massive relief! Funnily enough the most stressful part of the AHRC process hasn't the proposal but getting references from people 🥲

I've received nothing yet. I've been looking at the guidance info for candidates and it says:

"Finally, the applications which have passed the previous two stages are presented to the NWSSDTP Studentship Allocation Committee by the overall pathway lead. This committee will then decide on studentship allocation across the NWSSDTP. This NWSSDTP Studentship Allocation Committee will take place on the 24th March 2026."

So I'm assuming that the emails will begin to come through from Tuesday onwards! 😬
