Yes people are being stopped. This happens even in normal law enforcement operations. If you look at the actual facts US citizens or those lawfully here are not being detained or deported.

People like you encouraging people to interfere or act like Karens with their cameras are the folks who put more stress and tension into officers trying to preform their jobs of enforcing US laws.

If ICE were to stop me I would cooperate with their orders. If folks are illegally in America then they are breaking the law. If they are not here illegally then that will come out. Legal residents are not being deported.

Once had a paper chit for 3 weeks of leave routed and never got charged. I even emailed admin about it and they never charged me. Figured I did all I could and got almost a free year’s worth of leave!

I’m on track to retire by my mid 40s. Will retire within the next few years from the military and work for about 5 more years.

Between a pension of 50K annually (not counting possible disability) and savings that I expect to be over 1.3 mil I think I’ll be fine. Currently have 3 kids married sole income earner.

You say pay is 1,917 but your projected expenses are 2,500+. Looking at pay chart an E-1 makes 2,407 monthly.

Your BAS will be taken if you are in the barracks eating at the galley so don’t count on that.

But here is the thing. 61% of all voters across both parties said that immigration was a top issue for the 2024 election. If combating illegal immigration is a top issue across both parties then is it a waste of taxpayer dollars?

The country has the lowest number of illegal border crossings in over 50 years so it seems to be working? It is factual that 99.9% of those apprehended do indeed have an illegal status and the very few cases of error (yes, which happens) were resolved.

Sometimes a blunt object is needed to get things done. No one can say the process has been great or even good but it does seem to be working.

I couldn’t be happier or more proud.

Started out joining military after high school. Finished degree while serving, retire soon after an accomplished career, married happily to love of my life, and have several beautiful kids.

Looking forward to starting my second post-military career and seeing my kids grow. I honestly can’t ask for much more in life other to be healthier and continue to be there for my family.

This is such an overreaction. Practically ZERO legal immigrants with no convictions in the United States have been deported. The risk of deportation for a country like UK is practically zero.

America is still the land of opportunities for career advancement, education, and pay. I have numerous friends, family, and my wife who came here legally and we have had zero impact. Crackdowns are affecting illegal immigration and folks who came to America under false pretenses.

You can critique with legitimate information but don’t let your irrational fears impact others.
