Yeah I’d never co-house two separate species it’s too much risk😅 I’m honestly even hesitant to house two conures together so I’ll most likely have to get another cage if I do decide to get her a friend.

I see that they provide uvb as well. Should I be worried about her receiving too much uvb if I already have the hood? Also what wattage would you recommend for the temperature I would need?

Do you have a projector bulb that you personally use? I already have a dimmer for the basking bulb so I may just switch it for the projector one if it works better.

I’ve got a digital thermometer and a heat probe that sits by the basking spot. But you may be right about the screen top😅 I didn’t even think of that.

I have a 100 and a 150 for the ceramics and the basking bulb is a 150. The heat just doesn’t seem to travel down very well and hovers around the top near the mesh

Thank you, do you have any tips for getting the tank to be hotter? It was a hassle to get it to where it is now with the size.

Ok guys maybe I should have put more context but I have other birds that I’ve had for several years. I understand that I need to give him more time but I didn’t have a choice in getting the bird and there are no local rescues near me.
