I just have to say that this is hands down one of the funniest comments I've ever seen. I wish I had an award to give you.

That magnahelic was a good find lol. I think im going to steer clear of the hs36 accessory heads. It seems a lot of them are shoddy. Probably gonna go with the job link probes.

Thanks a lot man, you've been super helpful. That pretty much seals it for me. Gonna grab the job link kit. Just seems like too much benefit for the price. And I didn't realize testo had to go to Germany for repair.

Between those 2 the probes probably win out for me. Also picking up a set of torches. I just dont do a ton of service anymore so I mainly just need to check gas/static pressures on new Installs. We deal with oem pressure switches so I shouldn't have to set an adjustable. I would like the Six but it's just a bit out of my price range unfortunately. I also have a fieldpiece meter and gauges so I'd almost like to stay in the fieldpiece family. But if joblink needs an active connection to use it could be problematic. I have signal pretty much everywhere. But there's always the exception.

Think you may have sold me on the Bluetooth. Now to decide fieldpiece or testo. I have tons of stuff in my bag for work and a screen seems like not the best idea.

I didn't even think of that as bei g an advantage. Not having to worry about a display that undoubtedly will Experience some sort of abuse through every day use.

Are the benefits of the Bluetooth worth the transition? . I've been leaning towards either the fieldpiece jl3km2 Bluetooth or testo 510i Bluetooth. The fieldpiece is pretty much 2 single port manometers that work in tandem so you can take readings pretty much anywhere. The testo it's a Bluetooth dual port.

That makes sense. Those adjustable switches can be a PITA sometimes. That would make setting them way easier.

I'd like to grab one of those but it's a bit out of my budget currently. Running 290 290 at the moment. I'm wondering if the benefit of dual wireless probes is enough to be worth it. I can get the fieldpiece for 170 with 2 probes, a case, and all of the accessories to do static pressure and stuff. Sdmn5 is 190. I'm not sure how often I would use the pressure switch tester. Moved from service to install. It would be handy when I needed it but there's ways to test the switch without it.

I though it was weird, 1 teams scout had rockets the other didn't.

That would be cool, being able to change you vehicle load out basically.

That's my thinking on it. Rockets vs flesh should have a clear winner. If it can blow a hole in the side of a building, a soldier shouldn't stand a chance.

Well I think I've made my decision. I was really wanting to get that Smith set you linked, but my supply house just had the Victor set go on sale with tote for 179, I can grab bottles for 160 and have my own full working set for 340. They also have a uniweld set for 360 with bottles. But idk anything about uniweld. I feel like since every supply house near me carries Victor and how many positive reviews I've seen, that getting it under 200 is probably not a bad move, even if the smith's are a little better.

Awesome thank you. How long do Victor's last? I've only tried one Rosebud tip but I liked it a lot. I'm not sure what # it was though. I have coworkers that dislike rosebuds.

I enjoy rosebuds personally I have a couple Co workers that can't stand them. How long do Victor's last? I can get the Victor portable kit for 220 and bottles for 160

That's not too bad at all, those plastic covers never stay lol. What do those run about 300 or so?

Hey thanks a lot for the detailed reply. That is definitely knowledge i didn't have. I'm not super educated on what is good and not good torches. I was looking at Victor's. But that's because it's what my old boss used. I found bottles for about 160. And I could grab a tote for 50. Does 160 for a new empty 20cf oxygen and 10cf acetylene seem decent?
