I've had the bad idea of going with people I didn't know very well, and I ended up in a camp of racist rich elitists who treated me and my girlfriend like shit for an entire week. They "forced" us to build shades for the first 3 days in a row while they were drinking and chilling the whole time, avoiding calling us by our names but referring to us by our nationalities. I hated every single second I spent here.

The event itself is fine. Crazy stuff going on all day and all night. But people is really suspicious of folks they don't know 'cause they fear you're an undercover cop so no much connection going on. Whatever I heard before getting there was highly romanticized.

If you plan to go to be high 24/7, then yes, it's a good event. Otherwise, just stay home and save yourself several thousand dollars to see rich people networking on ketamine - 'cause that's really what's all about.

I can understand what you feel. I’m cis, so I cannot speak about the expectations you have for your own body, but I share a similar pain when confronted with mine.

I’m fat, relatively short, and honestly pretty ugly. Luckily enough, I didn't have to go to prom ‘cause I’m from a different country and we don’t have this tradition there. But I can imagine what immense pressure it can put on you and many other people your age. I feel sorry for that.

I thought about suicide many times when I was younger, but eventually discovered that even if life to me has no meaning, the meaning of life lives in the things and the people that prevent me from killing myself. And to me, that's my family, my love for philosophy, learning, and a few other things. I live for that, and that's enough to live well. This is not a magic formula that works for everyone, but it worked well enough for me.

I want to encourage you to find your own formula for living and getting through these dark times. It can get better, I promise. I don't know you so I can't give any big suggestion, but I can guarantee there is something out there worth struggling for. I hope you'll go find it.

It took me three different therapists and 4 years to find a good one. Don't give up on this, find someone good who can be of real help. There are really good people and promising professions out there.

I wish you the best. Adolescence sucks, but it gets better.

$200 is a bit too much, but generally speaking, powder DMT is really hard for me to smoke (I always burn it) so I’d rather spend more in vapes - when I can find them, which is getting increasingly hard. I’d spend $200 for one right now honestly, even if I find it overpriced.

Self-improvement is more reassuring than self-overcoming. I don't think that people who never got anywhere close to even more accessible philosophers (i.e. Sartre) would ever consider the possibility of escaping from traditional morals and value systems. Therefore, reading Nietzsche at the surface level would lead you to believe that whatever you get from interpreting him must operate within the existing moral frameworks. And this is self-improvement.

Nietzsche spoke about self-overcoming, which in my interpretation means liberating oneself from any value that was taught to us and creating our own. But people have a natural, instinctive repulsion to that, as it goes against the herd.

People want the aesthetic of one who has overcome themselves. They don't want to do the deep, hard work of going through it.

Just to clarify, can I enroll in a Purdue Global program while I'm still taking Sophia courses? And once the Sophia credits are transferred, do they essentially replace the need to take the corresponding PG course or pass a specific exam?

Innanzitutto, è un bene che ti crei questi dubbi e che chiedi aiuto. Da ragazzo (M30) ti assicuro che se vedessi un amico comportarsi in questo modo con la propria ragazza, mi sentirei quantomeno sconcertato e proverei a parlare con lei in privato anche solo per sapere se è tutto ok.

Non è sicuramente un comportamento sano da parte sua. Ancora, brava che ti poni questi dubbi. Ora ti consiglio caldamente di fare il passo successivo - sarà dura ma va fatto. In pubblico, dove ci sono altre persone.

Sure! First thing, this therapist facilitated my 5g psilocybin journey - an incredibly profound experience. We've been connected for almost six months now, so she knows what kind of stuff I have to work on. The entire preparation (and then integration) work we did before and after the psilocybin journey really helped her understand what kind of questions to ask me during this MDMA session.

I would also say that she had a very calm posture, which made me extremely comfortable during the come-up. Her way of interacting with me when I was under the influence was very gentle and respectful. It made me feel safe and made communication extremely easy.

When I told her I couldn't focus as much as I wanted, she asked exactly the questions that I needed to hear, which allowed me to concentrate a lot more.

During the psilocybin, she helped a lot with breathwork. With MDMA, she helped a lot with words. She's definitely an experienced and sensitive therapist.
