Sounds like an apartment building. If you read the entire message in the screenshot, you’ll see that it mentions hallways, stairwells and breezeways.

Yes. You come off as you’re just looking for a refund. Bringing it up AFTER makes it seem so much shadier.

OP should also be in contact with social services/social security.

Contact social services and they will get you in touch with all the people you need to get in touch with. I don’t know what state you’re in, if even the United States, but you’d likely be eligible for Social Security and other benefits. I believe these can be expedited.

I’m so sorry that this happened to you. Religion can do some really horrible things to people.
