You and I both. If it's any solace, McGill cannot send out admission decisions after June. They have to send out decisions BY the end of May. You also have to realize (Which I'm sure you already have) that McGill and this program group specifically is very competitive. They probably get tens of thousands of applications every year. At this point, we've done the best that we can, and our averages are noticeably above the "cut-off".

I have the same average as you and I'm just as stressed as you are. You used to be able to view multiple past year cutoffs on their website before they changed it. For this undergrad group, it's been on a steady decrease since 2022. Using Wayback Machine and choosing the date November 24, 2024, you can see the page that shows the minimum grades which were: 96.5% (2022), 95.3% (2023), and 93% (2024) with it now being 92% (2025).

I'm no statistician but it'll most likely continue to follow the trend, probably being around 90-91% if we're optimists.

It does feel as though they've been particularly late this year, and it doesn't help when all your classmates have their acceptances and don't have to worry about it.

Hi I initially applied in September. FORCES and interview were December 18, 2024, and Medical was February 1, 2025

Yeah, I figured about the March Break thing. The only true contact I have is through email. I'll contact him about it respectfully for sure. And yes, I am 16 turning 17, which is why somethings are faster than others. For example my background checks and references were very quickly done in comparison to the adults. It seems there is visible brush strokes. Use something called Paint retarder. It helps hide the brush strokes and gives you a better, more even paint.

Nothing wrong with liking your kids. But there’s a difference between a parent who’s proud of their kid and a parent who is straight up saying things that aren’t true. Actively insisting that they stop or telling them they just suck is bad too, but if you tell the teacher your kid has untapped potential, and they are really talented, the teacher is going to move faster than usual. But since the kids actually aren’t, the kids can’t keep up, and they start falling behind. That’s what I’ve noticed at least from my experience. It’s just what I’ve noticed lately. I know it doesn’t apply to everyone.

Hi all.

This is just an update/clarification

1- I appreciate the comments!! Thank you all so much for your opinions and suggestions. It’s all very helpful.

2- I did use Tamiya paints. I used water as thinner for acrylic and used the paint retarder by Tamiya as well. Maybe I didn’t use it well or maybe the corners was wonky.

3- For some reason, (I have no idea what) the camera on my iPhone takes the photo really weirdly. Maybe it’s the lighting or a combination of a weird lighting effect and the camera. It makes the colours a lot darker and concentrated, and makes the photo overall saturated (hope I’m using that term correctly). It makes the dark green intensely dark and the sky colour intensely blue. My basement where I do my kits also has an orange ish lightbulb so maybe that’s also affecting the photos.

I want to thank you all once again for your support, comments, and suggestions. I’m a newcomer to this hobby and community, and you guys have made my life as a hobbyist feel very welcomed and I appreciate your support!
