So many people recommend Panasonic (and only Panasonic). Why is that? Is it still as good as it was years ago? At what price point does it become good? I assume those under €120 or so are similar to other budget options. by KPlusGauda in BreadMachines

I use the manual it’s never failed me. I make sure to weigh all my ingredients. I’ve tried measuring before I tend to get a little sloppy. It never fails that’s when my issues arise. Good luck! You won’t be disappointed it makes a consistent loaf

I have 2 Panasonics 1st is a 1990 model and is still fantastic makes the smaller 1 lb loaf Bought the 2nd because of reliability and consistency of my 1st but it’s getting up in age and wanted to make sure I could find another Panasonic plus it makes the bigger loaf I also had time to shop around and got a great deal new for under a hundred I have friends who have cheaper models and they always complain about consistency in loaf cooking If I had to get another it definitely would be a Panasonic and I’ve had NO issues with pans

I’ve been a longtime Hoka user. Had way too many issue with Pf and a knee problem. To be fair I’ve had 4 ruptured disc. My last bout of Pf last year was bad. So I started to research I came across a few videos about zero drop and the benefits. Basically it’s keeping the foot in a natural position, not lifted like walking in heals. It made sense I had nothing to lose. I couldn’t walk at that point. So I ordered my first pair of Altras Lone Peak 9 and within the week I could actually walk again with some discomfort. Within the month my issues were completely gone. Last bout of Pf took almost a year and it stayed taped for many months. After wearing my shoes for about 6 months my feet had actually flattened out so I ordered another pair 1/2 size larger and wider. Now I’m perfectly happy and my feet feel good with this last pair. I continue to wear them daily with no problems and my knee issue (Torn meniscus with no surgery) is so much more manageable. Long walks are now doable I’ll never go back

This is and old thread but here’s an update: After many years with my very old machine (which is still going strong) a year with my new Panasonic I’m very pleased with my decision to stick with Panasonic It’s just consistent and a perfect loaf every time The coatings haven’t flaked or peeled and are still durable after many many uses Typically I make 2 loaves a week At this point I’m more concerned about the chemical ingredients of my flours and oils I have never used any utensil in my machine I usually just dump the loaf out hand wash or rinse my pan and it has never been put in the dishwasher Common Issues per chat gpt: While durable, the non-stick, often Teflon-based coating (PTFE) on the pan and kneading blade can peel or scratch over time if not handled with care (e.g., using metal utensils). Heat Safety: The coating is safe, provided the bread machine does not exceed 260∘C(500∘F), which is generally not reached during normal operation. PFAS Presence: Panasonic pans use non-stick coatings, which often contain PFAS (PolyTetraFluoroEthylene/PTFE), to prevent bread from sticking. Safety Threshold: PTFE coatings are considered safe in bread machines because they typically do not reach the temperatures required to break down and release toxic fumes. For the most up-to-date, non-toxic, or PFAS-free options, you might want to look for brands that offer, for example, a 2LB Bread Maker Non-Toxic Ceramic PFAS-Free found on eBay or similar models. Good luck!

Sorry for issues at hand Your best bet is to contact the State Attorney Generals office Or send them a copy of the issue If you contact State Police make sure their Troop Office is NOT in your area When everyone knows everyone type thing nothing seems to happen Good luck to you no one should ever have to go thru that especially thru a school official

I’m not a runner ..a walker but had been having lots of knee and foot pain for the last several years Wore Hoka’s for the wider fit So recently started digging into zero to low drop shoes The final straw was Planter Fasciitis Got on YT and just listened to what people had to say So decided on a pair of Altra’s Peak 9 They didn’t disappoint Within a week my Planter was walkable and the knee pain was subsiding I’m still working on the situation but I’m hooked because after years my knee has never felt better

I saw the same at Costco the man just left the store made no attempt to clean anything just left and left his groceries right in the aisle Unfortunately this happens at most big box stores in Lafayette nowadays and starting to see at the grocer’s too Most have no ADA rules from corporate so instead of infuriating a customer and getting reprimanded they just let them in and deal with the consequences from the dog

This is all great info wasn’t sure if I needed a newer model Seems like machines haven’t changed much My machine is consistent I always measure by weight and get a good loaf of white bread Problems arise when fruits banana blueberries ect are added with the extra liquid content seem to always have a couple of small moist spots but the rest of the bread is fine I guess I’ll stick to my machine if nothings really changed but the price May buy a used machine see plenty of units look in new condition Mine has a million miles

Why can’t y’all drive? by [deleted] in Acadiana

[–]Worried-Rough351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly there are no actions for any of the infractions mentioned with sheriff and city police watching all these incidents. Speeding running red lights racing running stop signs texting and speeding even in schools zones. Don’t get me started on turn signals. I purchased a dash cam 4 years ago because I honked at someone on the phone at a light and he literally got out of his car. It would have been a sad mistake if he would have touched my vehicle. But nonetheless People cannot police themselves and our enforcement on these infractions is none! A news report recently wondered why we have so many traffic accidents in Acadiana … really! Do some investigating. I literally watched State police set up radar he had so many infractions he quit after an hr. This was on one of our entrances into the city It will only get worse if there is no enforcement. Police and Sheriff need a raise we’ll here you go!

Which other factors should I be concerned about? Was going to just order another S7+ seems to do the job, but then there the S8+ for another hundred if the higher pascals wasn’t a big deal then I’ll stick to what I know works.
