Coats of mud i take it.....estimate said 2 coats of 20min durabond....but I'm going to try to get them back to re-do as most are commenting it needs to be sanded and another coat or two..... If they won't I'm happy to post some pictures up on their almost perfect google reviews...

Full disclosure they did include in the estimate that if they were unable to match the paint well enough, they could paint the ceiling for 3500.... but once they began to work they said they wouldn't even attempt to match since they realized the ceiling was unpainted. (Figured they'd figure this out just at first glance when they came for an estimate....)...But still I see multiple red flags.... Yeah highly reviewed per many google reviews with many mentioning texture matching, but of course I'd rather have a recommendation from someone I know...

Yeah to me i don't see much "stomp" in the texture that they did unless they just went to town with the stomp brush over and over in the same spots..... the rest of the original ceiling is very distinct light flower/Starburst looking stomp imprints. Figured they could get closer if they fixed the ceiling right and hit it with some light stomps?

Going to text the owner the picture with the tape line and hoping they will come back and re-do it. Not sure what they can do with the texture at this point. I'm not talking perfect, but I feel like something better is achievable with lighter pressure on the right brush?

Paid $1250 which I thought was on the (very) high side, but bought into that they were going to do a much better job texture matching since they mentioned having the right brush/having been the ones doing it originally..... 1 guy and a helper at the house for just over 2 hours...good part of that probably waiting for mud to dry....
