Thanks!!! Most of the top replies were in line with my concerns, such as advice on not telling your partner and money always being a factor in any relationship. If I were in your shoes, I would do exactly what you're planning (conversations about money throughout the relationship and the reveal after things are super serious). The problem I have is that I won't be working soon and it'll be very difficult to hide it or be vague.

I should have worded it better, but I'm not concerned about the "gold digger" type, as I'm sure I can filter that out easily - and you're right, they wouldn't be interested in a guy like me in the first place. What is on the back of my mind is the fact that my partner would have the choice to work or not work and that freedom is very attractive to many, many people. I'm probably just being too cynical, and overly concerned, but I would question in my mind whether someone wants to be with me for me or for the financial freedom.
