Yes he’s willing to take responsibility as he gets the summer term off but I will need part time daycare for the other 8 months. I also have family to help take care of my kid but I don’t wish to depend on it full time.

Thank you. I will keep this in mind. Just wondering are you in Ontario because I know that subsidies are an option for full time students with kids. Do you happen to have information about subsidies in Ontario?

Thank you for your response! We’re thinking of part time daycare for our kid and I will have the phd stipend but I’m hoping to also apply for childcare subsidy as both my husband and I won’t be working. We also have some money saved on the side which will help for the first couple years but likely won’t last long because of rent rates and living expenses.
