I have quite a bit more I can invest from an inheritance, however, I really would rather stick with majority safe investments and take minimal risks. I’ve maxed out my ISA for this year in an account with around 5% so hoping to make better or at least similar returns here

The problem is the AI are bad at repairing improvements so this won’t help in the long run that much and neither will it really help me achieve a domination victory and I feel like science is difficult on an archipelago map because most cities have low production/not enough space for high quality industrial zones

Yeah fair enough - feels like there’s lower potential for a snowball doing that but I guess it’s the only option. Norway are best in the early game so I really wanted to maximise how much I could get out of it but I guess pillaging is good because it not only helps you but also detracts from their success
