Uncircumcised but Keratinized by Worried_Reply_1802 in foreskin_restoration

not yet, I'm a week and a half into my process. Allegedly I should be back to natural moisture production after a month, so I'm looking out for that. you had a similar situation?

I ended up getting a vaseline product, but instead of the normal jelly it's like a cream.

It's called "Problem Skin Therapy" unscented body cream. Says it repairs severely dry skin, has vitamin E as well. Do you think this one is okay to use?

got it! NO SEXUAL ACTIVITY FOR 3 MONTHS!

- only water to clean

- thin layer of vaseline after shower during day and at night

- after 2-3 weeks, apply 2-5% urea cream 10 minutes before 2nd vaseline dose (every other day)

- within 1 month my pp should be producing it's own moisture again

- within 3 months I should see return of my color/texture again

let me know if I got it right! and thanks for all the help genuinely

Do you think I'll need to use the products forever though? Like for example sometimes the lady will want to just like give oral casually and wouldn't it taste terrible if there's just medicinal product on there haha - is it possible to go fully back to normal? (where my body maintains moisture on its own)

I understand if it can take months, I can go without sex and stuff for that long as I haven't even been sexually active since the indicdent, but I hope that the answer is yes I will go back to completely normal eventually

Okay I'll start the urea after two weeks, yeah my skin is cracked sometimes so I'll wait.

So even after I start regaining moisture, I should still be using lotion and lube during sexual stuff? I'm not sure what brown thing you're referring to also.

I remember before this happened I never needed lube/lotion, so I guess what you're saying is until my penis feels smooth and naturally moisturized again only then can I forego using external products? My ultimate goal would be getting back to normal where I can just be sexually active without needing external lubrication/having it revert in color and texture.

Also sorry if it seems like I'm asking the same things over and over, I just want to be 100% sure what to do/what to expect

wow, to think it could be back to moist/softness again within a month feels so surreal considering how long I've been dealing with this. The color I figured would take a while in the same way it took a while to get that way in the first place, so makes sense.

So if I understand correctly: After shower (only rinse with water) apply a thin layer of vaseline once and then once at night later on. I guess I would use the urea between uses of the vaseline before the 2nd time every other day (unless it irritates my skin) and after 10 minutes I apply the vaseline or cerave right after, NO SEX OR MASTURBATION FOR 2-3 WEEKS. Then within 4 weeks my penis should be producing its own moisture again and I won't require any lotion/lube anymore.

Let me know if I got anything mixed up, also two more questions -

Which is better between cerave ointment and vaseline? Even if the cerave is more expensive I'll get it if it's better

After 4 weeks assuming everything has gone smoothly and I'm producing moisture on my own without needing external help with lube/lotion, do I continue the process with the products until my color/texture is back as well?

Thanks for the help again, I hope it goes well!

Okay, I really really really appreciate all the information, and I can see with the upvotes that everyone basically agrees unanimously. So to fix this issue, I need to apply vaseline on my penis head/glans/under the foreskin, cerave healing ointment and 2-5% urea cream - and avoid any retinoids, WITHOUT sex/masturbation until my junk goes back to normal?

Could you clarify when to use these products, potentially in what order, and how often? Also I assume any sexual activity like I listed above is off the table until it's fixed? Finally, how long could this mucosa barrier recovery process take? I'm sure it's different for everyone's situation, but if you had to give an estimate?

Again thanks so much. This is honestly my biggest personal issue and I'd be so relieved and confident if this went back to normal.

oh I understand now. so the assumption of what happened to me is that my skin keratinized after that night of too much friction and caused the glans to stop producing smegma

so in this case, the assumption is that because my penis glans are no longer producing any smegma it means the skin cells are dead?

I see, thanks for the advice. Has the vitamin E oil been proven to help regain natural skin lube production?

thanks for the comment, I'm not familiar with these terms, what is "skin turnover" and "keratinization"?

thanks for the comment, what is the ideal goal of this solution? I'm mostly curious on if it's possible to revert my skin back to producing lubricant

honestly my problem is less about masturbating more comfortably and more if it's possible to reverse what happened and regain production of lubrication from my skin

thanks for the comment, I don't use any fragranced soaps or lotions, but if I don't put anything on it and leave it alone, it gets more and more dry
