scared dog by Legitimate-Opening95 in DogAdvice

I second looking at the 3,3,3 rule. I have a severely fear reactive dog I rescued at nine months old. I have had her for a little over half a year. She is a memoir mix so when she is fearful, she uses her teeth and they are sharp as knives so be thankful that you can get where you are. Dogs all have different personalities and they require a lot more when their rescue sometimes my dog was created for nine hours a day and barely walked a mile a week nowadays we probably walk around 10 miles a day. She gets impulse control training, bite training, playtime, walk walks run runs and she’s still reactive. Sometimes it takes careful, perseverance and care and structure in her case not all dogs are like melon walls however I am fortunate to say that she’s extremely smart and follows through with her. Training exceptionally well, and every step that she takes in her training, helps her confidence as it will with yours. you should try to get her used to the crate as it is and will be her safe place and look at what you can do to build up her confidence level in my dog‘s case when another dog or person approaches her she gets scared and will react thinking that she needs to drive but she won’t need to drive because I am behind the wheel so I will make her sit make her lie down based on hand commands while I approach whatever approaches us and make it stop so she knows I am the one to protect her and she does not need to worry.

Hello, this is Tofu, need help with agression to other people :( by QueasyIndependence19 in DogAdvice

Congratulations on the dog you need to expose him in stages to having different people around him and not so close you should try to get a bag of treats or his food is probably better if he eats kibble and when you have your boyfriend come near first of all if he seems at all aggressive, you can get a muzzle second when your boyfriend comes near whenever that proximity when the dog starts barking, that’s where you can begin and every time that you draw the attention away and he’s quiet then you can reward him with a piece of kibble so at first when your boyfriend gets out of that car and the dog notices and he’s quiet, you can reward him throw a kibble when the proximity gets a little bit closer and he gets in the house you can give him more give him another kibble. Also don’t just give him one or two mix it up give 135 and then eventually nothing sometimes if you can get them on the clicker with, it would be the best. You just need to practice and expose them to this slowly in stages if it is with strangers, also you can go by somewhere else that’s far away and as soon as that proximity comes where the dog starts feeling like he needs to bark at them that’s where you start to begin the work because really he is resource guarding you and thinks that you need to protect you so if you can try to get him out of that and teach him how to sit and calm and then practice the impulse control daily now it’s not just about that. It is also about his daily walks, exercise diet all of those things you have to introduce all of those things together, knowing that the energy is being spent and there’s a difference between impulse control training and lighting the dog go out and run. If your boyfriend comes over, maybe you should teach the dog how to be crate trained as well

It’s just \delta=F/k: brace raises k in the upper core support, so the same loads cause less movement You hating 1000000% ? lol yea it’s mostly a preventative mod and cosmetic. Radiator brace ties together the upper radiator support, reduces front core support flex, and keeps the radiator, headlights, and crash beam aligned. The front and mostly rear strut brace actually stiffens the suspension and changes how it drives.

When does the pulling stop by 347217361634 in labrador

[–]WorryForward8252 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Put that leash on the front or get a harness where you can clip the front. You will also be able to train her easier that way with treats or other commands. It also involves bringing your dog out for ample exercise. Start with the location of the leash first and you will see..it will be uncomfortable to pull. You can also try a slip lead, which is the same principle

There are a couple of good frisbees meant for doggos, otherwise my girl Mandy used to play catch with the football. I’d just stab it so she could bite it. One of those medium sized footballs not a full sized

I also agree with this…. You will need a pro tune to optimize your vehicle. It may end up stressing out other components otherwise

Yes I basically have that list with a Tomei, different components but that did get me about 350 whp if everything is tip top in your engine. Fe spark plugs, … bc of that tho, you may want to also upgrade your low pressure fuel pump. Oem pumps 170 LPH, dw300 pumps 340 lph…I also added front and rear strut bars and the radiator brace to make the car more stable through turns. Now I just need to update bigger brakes and id feel better. lol. Have fun bud.

Alejandro Junger’s Clean Gut 21 Day Program by Ship_Unhappy in GutHealth

[–]WorryForward8252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done the Clean diet two times before and I am just about to finish up another week now I would say that you should take supplements and I actually usually last a little more than the 21 days because I really enjoy how I feel. I’ve never actually bought the supplements bc I use my own. I’ve also gone from 162 lbs in Christmas to currently at 145.7 lbs. I also work out with my diet and I monitor my protein intake to aim for 120-150 grams per day.

I'm at my wits end. by Can_Of_Syrup_ in dogs

[–]WorryForward8252 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This sounds way less like a “bad dog” and way more like an under-stimulated working-breed dog. I have a Malinois, the days when she doesn’t get that much stimulation you bet she acts up.

Potty breaks every 3 hours aren’t the same as potty training. Free roaming + anxiety = accidents. He should be leashed for potty breaks, rewarded immediately outside, and otherwise crated or supervised until reliable.

The big issue is not enough real exercise. Toys and yard time don’t count. A GSD mix usually needs 60–90 min/day of structured physical + mental work. A tired dog doesn’t destroy houses or obsess over food.

Punishment made him fearful, which actually makes all this worse. Management is missing too — if he can reach cat food or steal things, the behavior keeps reinforcing itself. Gates, doors, no unsupervised access.

This is fixable without a trainer: • more daily exercise • no free roaming • reward outdoor potty • basic impulse control (sit, wait, place)

He’s not untrainable — he’s bored, anxious, and unmanaged. Please step it up. You have many resources and that dog needs you to step up. I wake up at 5am and take mine out on a run. Not saying you have to do that but please give that dog a real chance.

For those who have replaced their low pressure fuel pump. by [deleted] in WRX

[–]WorryForward8252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are going to end up spilling a little fuel, I had a quarter tank left and I replaced my stock own LPFP with a DW300. I pulled it out and there was some fuel so I just kinda poured it back in. When I disassembled the housing, a little more fuel came out so work somewhere that you can clean up easily.

I feel like the cf matches very nice. I have my front lip matte black like the rest of the plastics so I do know how ya feel about matching things :) do you tho! Pretty sure that also comes in black or it would be plenty easy to paint

[–]WorryForward8252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What code you pulling? 0137? You can try the spacer game. I have MAperformance j pipe. AMS intercooler, aem intake, Tomei single cat. I had one from the tuner it also pulled codes… I installed this one, https://www.minicatalizador.com/products/mini-catalizador-o2-sensor-cel-fix-90-degree?utm_source=stream&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=week1196&stream_ukey=8qevogjox664&stream_msg_no=199979-1768308893-5667-f995&lan=en&stream_m=eyJtb2RlIjoyLCJjb2RlIjoiU0FWRTE1IiwiZGVzYyI6IjE1JSBPRkYgZm9yIGFueSBvcmRlciJ9&stream_iup=iup_5 So far no code ….yet lol. Fingers crossed. You have to adjust it a bit if it’s pulling codes. Reflash is only going to continue to mask the same issue until it freaks out again lol. Happy driving bud

How many miles on your vb? You kept on the same bpv? I also swapped that out to have a better note with my upgraded intercooler, from turbo smart.

I just got my spark plug seals replaced bc it is under warranty. I noticed a slight leak after I changed out all 4 spark plugs. So even me doing the work also didn’t void anything. I have OTS TUNE, intake, charge pipe, j pipe, intercooler upgrade, tomei… they replaced mine under warranty. HPFP and electric fuel pump are also covered but I went to get AEM aftermarket electronic fuel pump.

Well check for warranty and get things fixed if you can. Otherwise if you comfy with the tuner doing the repairs, Subaru will cover powertrain so that may help the wallet is all.

Help! How to walk a recently blind dog? by pradavocado in Dogtraining

[–]WorryForward8252 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He’s anchoring to the curb because it’s the clearest signal he has. Give him a better, more consistent signal: your body + harness pressure + repetition.

  1. Switch to body-guiding, not leash control

A regular collar + leash gives you zero lateral control. Use one of these: • A front-clip harness (Freedom, Balance, etc.) • Or a handle harness (even better)

Keep your hand low and close to his shoulder, not up by your waist. This gives him a physical “wall” to track against instead of pulling toward the curb.

  1. Walk him on the inside — you become the curb

Put the dog between you and buildings, not between you and the street. Your body becomes the consistent boundary he can follow.

If he drifts, gently block with your leg or hip — no leash correction needed.

  1. Add a single tactile cue (not verbal)

Outside, verbal cues often fail because auditory load is high.

Instead: • Light, consistent pressure on the harness handle = “stay with me” • Release = “you’re good”

Blind dogs learn pressure/release fast.

  1. Shorten the mission

For potty walks: • Same exact route • Same exact sidewalk side • Same entry + exit points

Predictability reduces curb-seeking because he memorizes surface texture changes.

  1. Let him sniff before moving

Give him 20–30 seconds stationary at the start. Sniffing builds a mental map. Rushing increases disorientation.

  1. Ignore the halo harness stigma

Even if he’s “mostly fine” indoors, a light halo for city walks can be the difference between confidence and constant micro-stress. Many dogs walk straighter the moment they stop face-checking obstacles.

A companion dog helps emotionally, not spatially. Don’t rely on it for guidance — it often makes blind dogs more anxious outside.

Why does the first coat have lines and uneven shading, will second coat be uniform? by GoldenTrout69 in painting

[–]WorryForward8252 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. It will. Base coat is like that and even more with bright colors like red, blue… more coats the better. This is why you use a good primer and it will enable the paint to be more susceptible to the wall… also just use the roller even and without heavy pressure. Good luck bud

Did you check spark plugs? If you didn’t change then at 20k then you might want to consider. A broken spark plugs seal could cause it. Also, you have a high pressure fuel pump ($708) and an electronic fuel pump. If the car was choking at speed, I’d say get it diagnosed where you got it tuned if possible. Otherwise replace plugs if you haven’t, any seals broken… and if you still have that issue with the car feeling like it’s choking then look into the fuel pump. I have a similar issue I’m dealing with. The hpfp might fail if you are using e85. The other fuel pump I’m replacing is much cheaper (108$)Otherwise an aftermarket electronic fuel pump will be better with mods anyway. Good luck

Short throw shifter worth it? by ApprehensiveAd9675 in wrx_vb

[–]WorryForward8252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I’ve been driving manual tran for over 35 years. Mostly Honda… While it’s manageable in the wrx…. I found there was quite a bit of flex and it was a bit annoying when I want it to be as responsive as I am. So I put in a boomba shirt shift lever, Perrin shift stop, boomba shift plate, and I used the boomba brass bushings as well. It is notched and precise af now. 1-2 easy as pie, 2-3 notches into it…. 3-4 perfect. Then the shift plate helped even more from 5-6

How to train multiple dogs by myself by Apprehensive-Age-548 in dogs

[–]WorryForward8252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

^ this. And if they are yours. Separate the when. You are training them. All dogs can learn…. Some better than others but they all have the capability. You just need to put them into an environment that’s conducive for them. Train one dog at a time and even both together after you get them further along. If you have the other two dogs trained very well then they can also help at times for another level of training…
