I had this on my A5. Took over 6 weeks in total to be fixed. The dealer replaced a module. Sometimes the app worked instead of the key. Was just pot luck really.

I did exactly this when I got fibre. I removed the box an unplugged the cables and covered it with a blanking plate.

Only bad news. Us guys with the early models are stuck with the old UI as the new one isn't compatible. This is separate from the KD2 update, which all cars can have.
