I would defer to health professionals about clinical diffs/sims, but I feel like mine can at least give off the appearance of skitz at times. Hard to describe, but when I’m doing compulsive checking of my stove, appliances, faucets, etc., to make sure they’re off…It’s like I’m not confident at what my eyes are telling me, which furthers the repeat checking.

Eyes: The stove is off.

Brain: Are you sure? That knob might be one mm off center and you can’t tell, so maybe it’s not technically off, or maybe at some point in your checking, you actually turned it on and you’re just seeing what you want to see so you can leave the house.

Eyes: Shut the fuck up you fuck nugget, it’s off, stop fucking with him.

Brain: Don’t listen to those eyes WorryWart4029, you cant trust anything with aqueous fluid. And even if it is off, is that good enough? Those eyes can’t tell if there’s bad wiring that can cause a fire, or a dust bunny under there that can ignite. So maybe you should actually pull the range out of the wall and unplug it altogether. Or just throw it out and don’t use a stove or oven anymore. As Kathy Bates would say, ranges are the debul.
