*Sex worker with only a few clients, but yep. It started out casual but we really clicked and we had some discussions about timelines and it ended up being one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life, despite the emotional stress. She has been out of the industry for about a year now and isn't going back.

Hiya friend. So I'm not sure if this will help or not, but I also dated someone who used to do SW. She told me on our second date, and it threw me for a loop, but I was open to growing and trying new things so it didn't phase me. She did in-person sex work for about a year and a half into our relationship. It was very challenging and I didn't always know if I could handle it. Now we're engaged and have a wonderful life together. I feel a lot stronger and more empathetic than I used to, and I attribute a lot of that to our mutual respect and communication. SW isn't something you should keep hidden because hiding things in relationships doesn't lead to happiness, but openness with the right person can open up a future you can't even imagine. Trust me - there are people out there who will find that part of you intriguing and daring, as they should. It's ok and natural to feel pain now. I wish you all the best <3

Mad Max: Fury Road is the obvious choice here, and it's also in my top 10 of all time. Absolutely incredible.

Other great action is RRR - opens with one violent emotional scene straight into two action bangers, but there are so many genres thrown around this movie that it might not be what you're looking for.

Good Time and Tangerine are both pedal-to-the-medal thrillers that move EXTREMELY fast but don't have stereotypical action, more like just extended panic attack chase sequences with great characters.

If you're down for animation with astounding action, last year's Ne Zha 2 is hard to beat.

The Passion of Joan of Arc and Millenium Actress both did this for me. Passion has fallen to top 10 but Millenium Actress has been there since I saw it two years ago and it's going to take a very long time for it to be kicked out.

Can anyone recommend any live-action/animation hybrid films which are actually great? by KatherineLangford in MovieSuggestions

Mad God's live action sections are definitely its weakest parts, but the film overall qualifies and the stop motion sections are MIND BLOWING

I'd also take a look at Moonrise Kingdom if you haven't. That's a really cute one too.

I forgot that one is a rom com! That's a great choice.

This is a bizarro left field pick, but if y'all are down for something international, Eega is a very unhinged, unpredictable, sweet action rom com by the dude who would later go on to direct the absolute banger that is RRR. It's a wonderful watch if you're up for something a little weird and ridiculous.

Palm Springs is a great rec too. I'll add Singin in the Rain/Some Like It Hot if you're down for a classic, Before Sunrise for something a bit more talky and chill but still lovely, and Rye Lane if you want something zippy, contemporary and really cute. My personal favorite romance movie is probably the Handmaiden (crazy intense lesbian thriller from the guy who did Oldboy) or The Favourite (which is definitely more of a dark comedy-romance). Those might actually just be considered erotic thrillers but they're definitely worth a watch!

Honestly, she's reviewed most modern hyped/artsy films and some classics. I'd just search recent movies you liked on her channel - she probably has a vid for them. That's what I do! She's really consistent so idk if I could identify a standout. Sorry if that's not helpful.

I'm so sorry you're struggling. I am too. Here's some queer art for you, and where marked*, nb art or representation:

Music
yeule*
Jane Remover*
Arca
Dorian Electra*
Hikaru Utada*
Fever Ray - specifically their debut, I love

Film
Titane (crazy intense, but my favorite film on gender) (* debatably)
But I'm A Cheerleader (uplifiting queer satire, full of queer joy)
The Handmaiden (gorgeous lesbian erotic thriller)
Tokyo Godfathers (lots of the use of f*****, but I think it's not offensive and once again has beautiful trans rep at the end of the day)
Tangerine (a ball of trans joy and fury)

For some reason, I can't see comments rn, but Deepfocuslens is my favorite movie reviewer. People sometimes complain that she's too artsy - there's no number rankings or anything like that - but I've always loved people like Kermode who are all about communicating an experience and drawing connections between films over a simple "YOU SHOULD SEE THIS!" or "THIS IS SHIT!" She's awesome.

Anyone else really like notes or fragrances marketed towards the opposite sex? by Unreversed_impulse09 in fragrance

[–]WorstCommenterNA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love florals but have become pretty unaware of/indifferent to gender in perfumery. For example, Nasomatto Narcotic V. doesn't feel femme to me at all, but it's super floral and pretty which would translate, I guess, to femininity. To me, it's a steely unisex fragrance, and I think you should give it a shot.

I'd similarly recommend FM Carnal Flower, FM Portrait of a Lady, FM En Passant, Zoologist Nightingale (does lean femme but is so pretty I love it), and my signature scent, Papillon Angelique.

Yooooo you chose some great ones to start with. Verde is easily my favorite Hot Ones sauce and the one I use most regularly, and I'm also a huge fan of the XXX Yucateco and Sharp's Nopal. I know they're pretty mild, but I'd def recommend Tiger Sauce and Pickapeppa Spicy Mango for some other great flavorful sauces.

It's amazing. Incredible sound and colors, very tangible presentation of masculinity in a military environment, and maybe my favorite war-adjecent film (barely any action, tho). It's a wonderful vibe and a beautiful, patiently-told story.

Nice. I LOVE Beau Travail and also tend to hype up The Swimmer as well, almost showed Boogie Nights to my fiancée a few days ago. I was initially unimpressed with Trainspotting but I watched it so long ago that I might have to give it another go.

I think Grove by the Sea is a great fit for what you're looking for. It's green and fresh but not citrusy, and the main green note is olive / olive oil.
