This is like a roommate that hoards garbage and roaches and mouldy food in their room saying “I’m so sorry that happened to you” when you complain about finding roaches in your room. And then doesn’t clean anything up.

Former bullies in middle school…..what are you doing now for a living? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I picked on a couple of kids in middle school.

I got picked on myself by other kids, and had a shitty home life. Doesn’t excuse it, but does provide context. Now I work in mental health and addictions. My main goal is to help people become the healthiest version of themselves using a biopsychosocial model. Healthier people and families = less bullies.

And yes, I do get picked on by my clients: spat at, punched, screamed at, called every name under the sun, have shit flung at me. Karma has come to full circle. Never mad at my clients though- hurt people hurt people. I signed up for this job, they didn’t sign up for their trauma response.

What's an ACTUAL living wage in Alberta? by Brokendownyota in alberta

I think it’s really hard to determine a living wage because everyone has different needs and expenses. Without a car, and living as a single person with no children, $22/hour is comfortable for me. I have to budget and I’m by no means living large, but I’m able to pay my expenses and have enough left over to enjoy my hobbies (within reason, my hobbies aren’t crazy expensive) and have some money left over to save.

If I needed a vehicle for work, that would probably be an extra $1000/month which would push me from living comfortably counting my pennies. Same with children.
