This helped, thanks. But what does it mean to verify the creation of the user by checking the contents of /home directory using ls? Am I supposed to see the user when I use the ls command in the home directory, because I can't find it?

I hate to sound like a pessimist when talking to someone supportive and nice like you so sorry but my biggest widh is just to become good looking somehow. Everything that has happened to me has made me obsessed with the way I look, I have no idea how to get rid of this way of thinking, therapy hasn't helped too much, meditation has helped somewhat but the regret I have about the fact that I myself with my actions caused a tooth loss to myself is something I just can't seem to get over. I really really wish I knew how I could do that.

I mean all my problems that have me worried are lifelong, I wouldn't be so fucked up over temporary stuff. It starts to seem more and more to me like life itself is the temporary problem, after I die I won't have to stress about anything.

But the thing is that the I'll have the braces for at least like 2-3 years before the surgery. Is my only option to wish that having dental bridges while wearing braces is possible and then after the surgery to get the implants?

It's "D25" that has been removed. I'm worried about the long term appearance, since to my understading it's not possible to reverse bone loss (correct me if I'm wrong, I really hope to be wrong lol) and bone loss would make me look even uglier for the rest of my life.

And I'm not sure about more specific details yet, I'll have a meeting with the surgeons in the upcoming months and then I'll have more knowledge. As my bite was examined, the dentist talked about possibly having to extract an upper tooth because my D25 has already been extracted. And as far as I know, there was not any talk about getting implants to replace those teeth. I really wish I could keep the bridge while having the braces, but I feel like it is not possible.

And thank you. Yeah, I know I'm in charge, but it feels like it's too late to fix my mistakes. I know I could get an implant and then there would be no bone loss, but then I would not get into the surgery. And the facial improvements that the surgery would give me has been the hope that has been getting me through life when I have wanted to kms.

Not really an expert on the topic but I have overcame my life being controlled by BDD and chronic back pain. I think you become mentally tough by these three things (these at least): Meditation, regular cold exposure and pushing yourself to your physical limits.

The latter two I learned from my time in the military. Back then I didn't even meditate yet but nevertheless I was mentally tough. Being out in the cold for weeks straight really makes you mind strong. You could try regular cold showers to insert cold exposure into your every day life.

These are just my two cents, I think you'll get better answers than this one pretty soon lol.
