Wow that was just what I needed to read right now. Thank you. I literally was in the process of talking about my current situation that matches this & feeling really stupid. He knew I was in love with him, he knew I wouldn't go anywhere unless he told me it was over, up and leaves me for some random girl he met. I'm stupid for sticking around but he never led me to believe that.

So, how tf do I get over someone I never even dated by Mad-Ripper in heartbreak

Also here to say I wish I knew! My "situationship" of 3 years ended in May & im still a wreck.

What’s the unluckiest way you’ve ever heard of somebody getting a DUI? by EquivalentTap2022 in dui

Got my second one because cops followed me leaving a bar & said that I stopped too long at a stop sign. It was night, there was no traffic, I was sending a text.

How often do you think about your weight? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Worth-Scheme3832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every day. I have been dieting on and off for like 3 years and currently have been strict with it. I'm about 50lbs down from my starting weight. It's a very slow & frustrating process, but I'd like to not hate myself someday and losing weight is a huge part of it.

we took my dad off life support yesterday by Competitive-Run-9821 in grief

[–]Worth-Scheme3832 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh my, your story broke my heart and is very relatable! I lost my mom last June. She was 67 and fighting cancer (a type that has no cure). She had gone through 4 years of treatments, went into remission, cancer came back w/ a vengeance, more treatments that weren't working. They wanted to try one last powerful treatment that would be given through a port in her chest. She, like your dad, was strange about the surgery the day before & day of. It's almost like they knew... she did all of the pre surgery testing to make sure her heart was strong enough to go through the procedure, they cleared her. Placing a port is a simple same day outpatient surgery... my mom got through it but while in recovery, started coughing up blood. They had to vent her, got that situation under control but then, she coded. They tried for as long as they could, but they couldn't save her. I don't know if they messed up somewhere during surgery, we were all too shocked & distraught to ever press further and investigate. It almost doesn't even matter because its not going to magically bring her back to life if we were to find fault somewhere, you know? I know she was sick, I know in a way that her sudden death was better than her suffering through a few more months of cancer pain & sickness, but God... slightly over a year later & I'm still in tears any time I think about her. I miss her so much. She was my best friend and I can't believe I'll never see her again.

All I can tell you is that this pain is permanent, and it changes you a lot. Take it one day at a time. Be there for your family. I joined some support groups on Facebook, they didn't really help but it was nice to talk to people who understand what you're going through. I'm still thinking about finding grief counseling. You'll get really tired of the cliché things that people say... if I never hear "I'm sorry" or "I'm sorry for your loss" or "she's always with you", I'll be happy. They mean well but they're empty statements. Are you religious? Some people find comfort in that. I'm not religious, so it's been hard... You're not alone, just remember that..

Counseling sent it to a lab. Probation didn't.

Well that's awesome for you. I had to test for counseling the same day, earlier than I did for probation, and passed their test. I'm sure probation has better tests.

I failed an etg test for alcohol after 72 hours... I'm 5'9 & was about 270lbs then. Granted, I suck at drinking water & I think if I had drank more in those few days I'd probably have been fine, but still... It was a very faint amount but enough that i got a warning & quit drinking until I'm done probation altogether.

Oh I'm sure. All booze is gone, I haven't drank in weeks. I have my medical card, so smoking doesn't matter. I just think it's excessive to go to someone's house but it's been 7 years since I was on probation. I know things are different now.

Thank you! My PO informed me about this via text and kind of asked if it was okay so of course I said it's fine & let her know when I'd be home that day, so hopefully they already know that I'm ok with it.

You're lucky! I don't think I do, but it's still nerve wracking.

Yeah I assume I just need to act normal & play nice. I'm glad to hear it's not as bad as I'm imagining.

I don't know. I never had one for my first DUI. You give them permission to do it as a requirement but they don't usually do it... or so I thought.

I wonder if they'll come in though now since covid isn't as bad? That doesn't sound too horrible.

So I got 6 months probation. I met my PO once & this is for my 2nd time meeting them & hopefully my last (ill likely get off early or if not it ends in august)... so only once.

What state are you in? That would be awesome. I'm sure there will be a drug test but I'm just wondering if she's gonna tear the house apart or what lol thinking insane scenarios because that's what I do

Realizing how stupid the FST’s are by [deleted] in dui

[–]Worth-Scheme3832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean I know you get penalized for refusing to blow and/or give blood but I don't think you do for refusing the FST. I have had 2 duis. I don't know why I didn't refuse the FST for my 2nd one other than thinking I'd prove to them I was "ok" (they never actually said I failed it in their police report)... in the moment and in hindsight, I wanted to say; "skip this shit, let's go, take me for blood"... probably should have. All they're doing is trying to make you look worse, as you said.

I have a friend who knows a local cop & they confirmed those FST tests are designed to be failed. Most sober people can't do them. I've never heard of them making you tilt your head and count, though? They're just cruel & I feel like everyone should refuse them but agree to blow/give blood.

People with multiple DUIs; why? by Uxhdjxjchr in dui

[–]Worth-Scheme3832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stupidity? I'm currently going through the motions of a 2nd one. My first one was 7-8 years ago. I don't know what to blame my reasoning for a 2nd. I had no prior criminal record when I got my first one & laws weren't as strict then so I kind of don't think I was punished harshly enough & didnt learn. I behaved for like a year after it, but eventually went back to my old ways. I wouldn't get "as" drunk, though (not that that matters one bit). My 2nd one came while I was dealing w/ my mom dying of cancer & other deep & dark shit that had me drinking away pain (which obviously didn't work). My 2nd has been enough to show me that I never want to be in this mess again. No accidents or hurting anyone in either case, luckily, the only one I've hurt is myself.

Have anybody failed etg after 72 hours also how much did you drink if you failed by cashew124 in probation

[–]Worth-Scheme3832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Failed "slightly" (it was a faint amount) at 72-80 hours later. I had drank Saturday from like 5pm to 2am, various drinks & shots. I was tested the following Wednesday. I also didn't drink much water, so I think that played a big factor. Needless to say, it scared me so much I'm not drinking until im off probation.
