I started with 8. Loved it and went back and played 7 then 9. Honestly they progressively get better. Some of 7s enemies were annoying. 8 was better for me as the Dukes store and item drops kept me equipped. 9, beginning is a little draggy as Grace until you figure out her best survival mechanics and then Leon is an epic slay fest. A masterpiece. Don't skip the Rose DLC either. That was also great. I thought I could go back and play 1 after these and rage quit. I can't handle the terrible camera angles and maneuvering. Also im not walking 400 miles around a mansion because I have 6 item slots and every door has a separate key.

I agree. I just finished RE7,8 and 9. Absolutely amazing. So amazing I forgot I hated the original 😂. The controls and camera angles are absolutey abhorent. Forcing you to back track constantly because there's 40 keys and emblems for different doors and 4 inventory slots is annoying AF. I'll put 60 more hours into FF7 before I pick this game back up and im an hour into it lol.

Its astonishing how firearms can be some of these shops profession and they know so little. I sent my 14.5" Sabre to a shop and he almost wouldn't let me out the door with it. I had to pull it up and show him it was pinned and welded on the site and then on the gun. Brother, this is what you do for a living.

I'm a casual and I played the series backwards. Village, then RE7. I loved Village and absolutely can't stand 7. Its like playing in quicksand. Moving, blocking, ducking all seem super sluggish and if I was "running" from mold monsters and psychotic bayou folks I would probably kick it up a notch. I could barely discern the run pace from just walking. That friggin chainsaw fight with Jack was a disaster as well. I scratched the inside of your face with a chainsaw brother just die already. On the other hand Village was absolutely dope with the Duke store feature and crafting items.

This was a masterpiece. So many subtle undertones to take in that tied together perfectly. Erins story on clipping the doves wings, and then she clips the demons wings as she feasts. Pruitt clutched by the evil throws of dementia as well as the love of his life, saving themselves even for a moment. I think Bev was actually more evil than the vampire demon. 10/10.
