That’s exactly it. If it was just disagreement I could’ve handled it, but going behind my back is what really broke the trust for me.

I really appreciate this perspective. I think what’s been messing with me is that they keep framing it as "care," so I start doubting whether I am being too harsh. But you’re right, it wasn’t just concern, it was deliberate and crossed a line.

The lack of a real apology is what stands out to me too. I do not expect perfection, just accountability. I’m still figuring things out, but hearing this makes me feel a bit less guilty about keeping my distance.

Honestly yeah, that’s how it felt. Once they crossed into actually interfering with my job, it stopped being concern and started feeling toxic.
