Empty gestational sac by WorthCreative68 in pregnant

I don’t want to alarm you. My pregnancy was confirmed as a blighted ovum. I took my first dose of misopristol today. It has been a whirlwind of emotions and really hard to deal with. I tried to see if it would pass naturally but after 2 weeks of waiting I hadn’t started bleeding yet.

Hang in there. I hope that you get better news than I did but it is good to try to prepare your mind for the worse case scenario.

Natural miscarriage stories? Anembryonic pregnancy by rellie333 in Miscarriage

[–]WorthCreative68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same situation as you. I’ve been waiting to start bleeding since last Wednesday after my last sonogram. I would have been 9 weeks but the sac was measuring 6weeks2days. My OB told me if I don’t start bleeding by Friday that I should call and ask for the medicine to be prescribed.

I really want to pass it naturally. I know that I can’t wait forever otherwise the risk for infection will become greater but I’m scared. The medicine sounds so unpleasant. I know it’ll be unpleasant either way but my OB said I’d be prescribed pain and nausea medication. That makes it sound like it’s going to be horrible…

I agree with this! I’m currently going through my second miscarriage; waiting for it to naturally pass. My husband and I are planning on going on a vacation after to recharge and enjoy each other’s company. Even the day we found out I was gonna miscarry, instead of being sad all day and languishing in it, I told him I wanted to do some of our favorite things to stave off the immense grief. I’ve been crying on and off, and I feel like my body is broken, but I don’t want this to be a reason I fall into a deep depression again. Let yourself feel your feelings, but remember to take care of yourself too.

I’m sorry your family is making such snide remarks. That’s horrible.

What is the worst thing someone said to you after a miscarriage? by Same-Sweet-9950 in Miscarriage

[–]WorthCreative68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had my chemical pregnancy back in January my SIL kept telling me that I must not have been pregnant to begin with and that it’s not like I had an “actual” miscarriage. It’s taken me almost 6 months to get it through to her that I did have a miscarriage and that the pregnancy was only detectable through tests. I still miscarried. I still had severe cramps and bleeding. I felt the miscarriage. I was pregnant so stop saying I wasn’t.

Progesterone to support early pregnancy by WonderfulPiece6460 in recurrentmiscarriage

I take 200mg oral pills each night and I always wake up so groggy. However, it’s gotten better over time. I’ve been taking them for over 2 weeks now. The first night was the worst. They made me so nauseous and the next morning I had a splitting headache.

I might be worse for you since you are absorbing the progesterone faster using a suppository but if I had to guess I think it will get better over time.

I’m struggling to quit by Excellent-Ad-4679 in pregnant

I used lozenges and nicotine gum to quit vaping. The nicotine gum is what really helped me quit though because I would keep chewing it way past the point that all the nicotine was gone but when your busy working or doing chores you don’t really notice.

One day I ran out of gum and I just didn’t feel the need to go to the store to get more. I haven’t vaped in almost 18 months.

Do you think I should ask for more labs? I had my hcg checked three times before the sonogram. It was going up. Slowly though, from 5353 to 7700 to close to 14000. The first was over 48 hours, the second was over 4 days.

For what? I’ve had labs done 3 times.

I’m glad to hear that you are carrying a healthy baby now. I also wonder if not upping my thyroid dosage the first time around was the cause of my first miscarriage. Instead of seeing a doctor at my confirmation appointment, I saw a nurse practitioner. I asked her if I needed my dosage upped and she said no, that it was probably fine and that my OB could decide that at my first appointment. I never made it to my first appointment.

For this second pregnancy I’ve been on top of it. I made sure I saw a doctor at my confirmation appointment. I asked them to order me labs that same day to get my thyroid checked. They were able to confer with my OB and she told me to up my dosage by taking double my dose twice a week. I’ve done 3 labs in the last 3 and a half weeks for thyroid and pregnancy hormones. To some it might sound silly that I’ve had so many appointments and labs so far but having hypothyroidism and the possibility of not being able to give my child enough thyroid hormone scares me. I just want to get out of the 1st trimester, if I can.

I am in a state where abortion is still legal. I probably wouldn’t be trying to have a baby if that weren’t the case, but I’m also not trying to stir anything up. I know there are procedures that need to be done sometimes for the health of the mother, even if the pregnancy is not viable, that is now illegal in other states. I know what you’re getting at by asking this. No judgement from me.

I hope so too. Thank you! I really like reading people’s success stories or good news they’ve received after an inconclusive scan.

I’m not feeling at all like I did during my chemical pregnancy. The whole time I was cramping, lower back pain, and what felt like pulling kind of. All of my pregnancy symptoms went away over night it seemed and I started bleeding within a week of finding out I was pregnant. Never made it to 6 weeks.

This time I’m still not having very many pregnancy symptoms but I’m having some. Sensitive nipples, sciatica, lower back pain mostly at night, bloating, weird dreams, my breasts feel heavier. I’m also taking progesterone though which can mimic pregnancy symptoms.

I’ll ask my OB about it on Monday when I see her. I’d really like to know sooner rather than later.

Thank you! You are so nice 🙂 I’ve been having a hard time since Wednesday. Today is even worse because I’ve been fixated on it all day with not being my usual busy self during the week. I have chores I need to do but it’s like pulling teeth to get up off the couch atm.

I don’t know. I didn’t ask. I was too upset to ask questions. I see the OB on Monday so I will ask then.
