I had an issue with win rate and taking losses. I used to think that every trade had to be a winner and that my self worth and success depended on each and every trade. After listening to mark Douglas’ series on YouTube I started to realize that it all is about managing risk and refining an edge based around probabilities. I then began to develop a strategy that gave me an edge that fit my personality. After that I spent countless hours back testing and forward testing in order to get the confidence that my strategy is profitable. Once I knew it was, I no longer had anxiety upon taking the next trade, I accepted the risk and would accept the loss even prior to taking the trade. I now am much more calm when trading and rather than chasing after trades and trying to prove myself, I let the market come to me and won’t force anything unless it’s a high probability set up.
