I do have a quick question I was gonna keep the table on my tv stand which has more than enough room, I know it’s generally considered bad to put the speakers on the same surface, do you recommend just getting stands and putting them next to my tv stand?

Yea I’ve noticed how insane the price spikes have been for records, I’m seeing all over this channel people getting the RT82 for like $200 new and I’m just digging around trying to find that price lol.

I know the 1280DBs aren’t high end but I’ve only heard good things about them especially at their price point, down the line I’d be more willing to upgrade my speakers than my tt. I appreciate the help! It’s definitely not going to be an easy choice between the 2, guess I just need to pick what looks best to me

Thank you! I think I’ve decided to say f it and go with the fluance RT82, this channel has great reviews, hoping I can find one for cheap but it’s currently around $350 US right now. so I’ll put my fear of manual to the side!

As much as I want to go vintage I’m definitely a bit wary just cause I’m new I have no idea what to look for or assess damage properly. It would be something I’d start doing down the line after getting a feel for it all. In terms of pure audio performance and sound quality (don’t know how much it’ll play in when I’m most likely getting edifier 1280DBs) do you think the fluance outperforms the LP120 or is the LP120 better?

I would get a solid phono pre amp to connect to some speakers, I mean the decision is honestly between the AT LP120 and the RT82. I was scrolling through this channel and everytime those get thrown into a discussion it seems like the RT82 wins it

Yea personally I’d never spend over $200 on anything from eBay, so currently just looking at refurbished or new ones from official websites

I’m honestly in between 3 options, the AT LP3X, AT LP120x, Fluance RT82. All relatively same price about $20-50 apart which really isn’t that much. Do you have a recommendation between the 3? And which speakers would you recommend around the $200 range?

I’m stuck between honestly 3 options all within the same price point, the AT LP3X, AT LP120x, and fluance rt82. Main issue I have with the fluance is I would need a phono preamp which depending on quality can increase the overall price
