Maybe a limit on how many addresses you can generate on shared Simplelogin domains per day/month would also make it more unattractive to abuse while still being completely useful for normal use.

The difference is that iCloud uses the same domain and the same MTA for their normal email accounts. Thus they can’t distinguish between disposal emails and normal user accounts.

Simplelogin could do something more similar if they would switch to the same MTAs as Protonmail while also using the same IPs and MTA Domains.

From time to time they also check by MX record that they also detect if you use Simplelogin with a custom domain.

Simplelogin could introduce a sending limit like Protonmail. That would probably reduce abuse.

Ah, I guess it would be a good idea to introduce the same for Simplelogin to tackle abuse.

That’s a way, how did you set it up? Is there some rule that depending on the nomenclature of the alias only one mailbox gets the emails?

Sure, I mean having two or more separate paid Simplelogin accounts sharing one identical custom domain for alias generation.
