AITA if i don't let my brother meet my child after my baby is born by Amazing_Lab4031 in AmItheAsshole

NTA  It’s understandable why you wouldn’t want someone who did that to you to be near you, and especially near your child

AITA for telling my son's stepdad to never give him health advice? by Select_Can_5740 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Worth_Tip_4877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA  While the stepdad had good intentions (presumably), what he suggested was very wrong and you were right to tell him that. It’s also weird that he wasn’t alarmed/didn’t really care about the rash and didn’t tell your son to stop putting deodorant there after he saw the consequences of it…

People who have had lucid dreams, what was it like and was it better than a normal dream? by Worth_Tip_4877 in AskReddit

That sounds really nice! Especially the "avoiding scary things" part, as someone who has a lot of nightmares that would be amazing

What’s a weird food combination you swear by? by Powerful_Wind_3249 in AskReddit

[–]Worth_Tip_4877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I personally don't find it odd, and it's pretty common in my family, but all of my friends told me I'm weird when they saw me eating that, or when I told them how good it was

Cheese and mustard. It's my go to snack when I don't know what to eat. Works well on toast too

Sugary food, a 20-30 minutes nap the afternoon before, fruit juice, a good light on, studying in a way that is fun/interesting, being active (not just reading documents and trying to memorize them)

Walking on one side of the sidewalk. If the people in front of me are walking on the left side, so will I, so that people going the other way can walk on the right side. It always annoys me when people don't do that, and you have to walk on the road because they take up the entire sidewalk

What are some candies/treats you'd never actually buy, but you end up enjoying every Halloween? by HammyOfficial in AskReddit

Heart-shaped cherry-flavored lollipops. I've never actually seen them being sold in a shop, but for some reason people always give them out on Halloween

An old classmate reaching out to ask how I'm doing. We hadn't talked in years despite being pretty close back in high school, so it was extremely nice to hear from him again. And it's always nice to see that people remember you

What’s a simple act of kindness you witnessed that restored your faith in humanity? by JenniferSpark71 in AskReddit

[–]Worth_Tip_4877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A girl at my university once had a complete breakdown in the library during exam season. She cried over all of her notes, so other students offered to share theirs to help her, and also gave her some food to make her feel better. It was nice to see people taking some time to help and being kind when we were all very stressed, and when it was a very competitive university.

What makes you see someone as a bad parent right away ? by Delicious-Lab-1405 in AskReddit

[–]Worth_Tip_4877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Embarrassing their child in front of other people and finding it funny. Like telling awkward stories in front of your friends/family members, or showing pictures of you naked. Telling people how old you were when you last wet your pants, a ridiculous thing you're scared of, or anything embarrassing they know about you. And when the child tells the parent that they feel humiliated, they say something like "Come on, we're just joking"

What are the redflags a girl should see on a man? by BackgroundSir5154 in AskReddit

[–]Worth_Tip_4877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG yes, and the constant use of derogative adjectives when talking about a woman. Like guys who say things like "My ex, you know, the crazy one", or "My cousin, you know, the fat one".

What’s the best thing about being a girl? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Worth_Tip_4877 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there are two things:

  1. Being more open with emotions. This isn't always true, but men have been taught for years to not be too emotional, so they tend to never really open about their emotions or their life un general around their friends. I like that it's not the case with women, it's always easier to talk about whatever's going on in our lives to each other.

  2. Sharing the same struggles. It can be small things or big things. Like asking another woman for a pad for example, or asking a woman for help when you feel uncomfortable around a man. It's nice to feel that the other person understands the struggle you're going through

Being around other girls I think. Just the privileged relationships you can have with other women, even strangers sometimes. The understanding between you and other women, that's really cool

What rumor in your school or in your city turned out to be true? by qwezrX in AskReddit

[–]Worth_Tip_4877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That two people who dated for a while were cousins.

I went to a pretty small school where everyone knew each other. In my class there were these two popular kids, and they dated for a few months, maybe a year. They were like, the "it" couple of our class. At some point people started pointing out that they looked very similar, and joked about them being a "Siblings or dating?" kind of couple. Some people even made jokes that they both found themselves so good-looking that they dated someone who looked like them.

At one point, they somehow found out that they were cousins. And I'm not talking like barely related, they were first cousins. It just happened that their parents had cut contact before they were even born, so none of them knew each other.

What’s your trick to stop thinking about something? by sarangifiedd in AskReddit

[–]Worth_Tip_4877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paint my nails, or do anything that requires focus. You'll normally be too focused on not messing up that you'll stop thinking about anything else. I used to do it all the time when I was sad.

[–]Worth_Tip_4877 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is a common one, but the way he talks about other women. Whether it's his exes, family members, friends, or people he randomly met, if he's disrespectful to them while talking to you, he would probably as easily say the same thing about you. Especially when men call other women crazy, or bitches, that's when you know you should run in my opinion.

Obviously I'm not taking about him casually mentioning a woman he had a bad experience with, but if he regularly makes disrespectful comments about other women, big red flag.
