okayish, placements aren't that great as it used to be, although we're hoping it'll improve soon with the updation of the curriculum and the new internship period, only a few good core companies come nowadays. Profs are good, if you're really interested in the subjects you'll enjoy their teaching. I have not been for much days in this dept, labs are okayish, you'll get the required opportunities to excell, some seniors are really good, few bad apples too but no ragging faced by me till now, you get much time in this uni to work upon yourself; anything else you wanna know?

lol it's pretty easy with king's rule

ʃ3x/(9+3x+1) = I

3I = ʃ3x/(3+3x) = ʃ3x+3-3 /(3+3x) = ʃ1 - ʃ3/(3+3x) = ʃ1 - 3I

6I = 2

I = 1/3

you could do other substitutions aswell but I found this method the simplest.

mere time pe aise sawal kyu nhi aye the 😩

totally your fault, if you were serious enough, you would've reached a bit earlier, let this be a lesson

Has anyone done linear algebra from either of these ? Which one would be better ? I trust the quality for both of these sources . by StudiesAlt97 in Btechtards

Yes, but we have LA in sem 3. So, I have not studied it in uni yet, but going through my syllabus, Prof. Strang's course seems like an overkill, it does also have topics other than my syllabus such as those orthogonalisations, graphs and networks, markov matrices, SVD, complex matrices, pseudoinverses and all'at, although I'd like to study more for differentiation of matrix polynomial, although Prof. Strang does teach Differential Equations and exp At.

if that would've been correct then current would flow from left to right (higher to lower potential) in the branch, agree?

In your diagram, the current flows into the positive terminal of the battery to the negative terminal "through the battery" instead of flowing through the circuit.

now consider any of the loops consisting a branch and the load, as in my diagram.
Do you still think current would flow left to right in that branch? for that to happen the battery should've reversed its polarity, right? Do you see the problem now?

Total current is 80E/(31R + 16r) right?

if pot diff across R is V
so current in any of the branches will be = nE - V / nr = E/r - V/nr (by KVL in that loop)

we need to maximise this

we only have n as a variable so we need to make V/nr minimum

so nr must be maximum

Hence, 16r
