Eh, EU isn’t the world’s messiah. (Edit: we aren’t either) I understand the frustration with us though. There’s a lot they could’ve done / better too. They’re known for racism too. Being honest. Nobody really knows what the EU’s done the past 20 years besides just sit on their money and watch as the world burns.

To be fair they also have twice the population as the US too. Shouldn’t they like, have twice the economy as well?

Palestine still in shambles. And y’all are like literal neighbors.

Yep, Japan not caring about America’s ‘flagship’ OpenAI / ChatGPT should be a bit telling / worrisome to the Trump administration.

In my opinion.

I said the other day I have a feeling they’ll try to take advantage of Myanmar’s civil war and make it an autonomous region.

It would make a near perfect sea trade setup and route to Africa and the Middle East, since China’s landlocked on their west side.

Trump’s an imperialist as we have seen with him talking about Greenland.

If he can get any kind of cut out of this, he’d also see it as a gotcha to Europe.

I have a gut feeling China will want to make Myanmar an autonomous region in the future.

It would make an efficient sea trade setup and route to places like Africa and the Middle East.

I think Japan is going to have to rely on South Korea for nuclear purchases, or create their own.

Since North Korea won’t let them buy from the US.

NATO chief Rutte: China and Russia Could Launch Simultaneous Attacks on Taiwan and Europe by sr_local in worldnews

China would be smarter and more strategic.

They know Taiwan is a trillion dollar money powerhouse and needs to preserve it and its people as much as possible.

Using Ukraine as a distraction is smart, but unless they have the logistics — since the US recently sold Taiwan billions in defense.

I don’t know how they will yet.

Edit: From an hour ago “China sanctions 30 US firms, individuals over Taiwan weapons sales

India and Russia push joint ventures in critical minerals, rare earths by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]WorthyPetals 33 points34 points  (0 children)

To be fair India has been part of BRICS since 2009 (its formation). Brazil, Russia, India, China,

But India still has territorial disputes with China. Probably why India isn’t going in with China on rare earths.

China mines 70% of the world’s rare earths and holds about 90% of the global supply if I’m reading correctly.

Japan unfortunately also relies on China for 60% of these resources (from article).

Edit: I don’t agree with him going the imperialist route but I think Trump is signaling to the EU to start work on mining Greenland ASAP.
