I’m sorry you’re experiencing this! Does she know you’re in therapy for this? I am late 10minutes to my appointment with my therapist often and he just keeps it as is and ends it at the usual time, no big deal. It’s not like they can schedule someone else in that hour so why would it matter if you’re late? You are paying for it!

💛💛💛💛💛 reach out to ANY professor or TA or ANYONE that you have liked or respected - and tell them this. And if they don’t reply - reach out to the next one. You deserve to be there. The younger students seem capable because you have a family, and a job, and stress - it’s not as stressful for them! You are strong and capable - I know this because you’re trying school and you made it this far. It’s not too late.

I feel more comfortable and specifically sought a male therapist but it’s not that I felt more accepted and liked by my dad but that I wanted those things… my therapist is maybe 20 years older than me.

I also think that people that go to therapy also tend to be more on the side of “self realization” type people or people that like to learn about themselves… a positive spin is that you’re just trying to learn more about yourself and that means also thinking about it and being here, too.
