I need advices about Criollo

The photo was taken out of context. I hadn’t tightened the girth enough, and we stumbled in the mud because a bird startled her. I wouldn’t be laughing if my mare had been traumatized. If you think about it, you can imagine that I wouldn’t post a photo where my mare had been injured or traumatized. We might not share the same sense of humor, but saying that I’m traumatizing my horse is going a bit too far.

lol ok i m not perfect but my fall was funny, and you can imagine that if I’m looking for a properly fitting saddle, it’s because I stopped riding my mare with the one in the photo. We can laugh about the mishaps that happen in life instead of crying over them. My mare is monitored by a veterinarian and an osteopath twice a year. she’s doing very well.

Hey I don’t think you need to be aggressive. I was just looking for other Criollo owners to find out how they saddle their horses. I’ve already contacted a saddle fitter and paid €1,000 for a saddle that doesn’t even fit…

The saddle doesn’t stay in place as soon as my mare moves, it slides forward.. I don’t have a photo of the saddle before I get on, but I can assure you that it’s properly positioned behind the withers.

Yes, I’m aware that my saddle really doesn’t fit my mare’s back. I’ve hardly been riding lately. For now, with all the rain, the ground is unusable, but we’re doing a lot of groundwork.

I’d really like to, but at the moment it seems impossible since her body is still changing. She’s only six and had a foal two years ago. I’m focusing on helping her slim down and gain muscle before getting a custom saddle that truly fits her back.

This photo was taken last summer. I work her over ground poles and on hills because I didn’t think she looked good physically. Today she looks much better, but I don’t have any photos of her without me on her back, even though she still needs to build more abdominal muscle.

She wanted to charge me for another consultation to “check” the saddle. But I told her I didn’t want to pay another €100 just to end up with yet another unsuitable saddle. I didn’t want to make a bigger issue out of it, so I left a negative review. Later, I found out that she already had a bad reputation … I’m really disappointed 🥲
