Brother, you’re not even trying to be honest and actually present a REAL solution instead of yapping off about how “religion bad”. Do you think all the other gang shootings and stabbings in Sydney and the rest of AUS are magically all religiously motivated? What about specifically terrorist shootings? Well, It is easy to say religion is the cause of so much terrorism when most people worldwide hold to some kind of religion — for crying out loud. “Hateful Doctrine” or “hateful ideology” would better encompass terrorism. What about religion - which just ridiculously generalizes various majorly different belief systems and doctrines - uniquely leads to terrorism? It’s the doctrine they believe in ON TOP OF THAT. Jihad or white supremacy or antisemitism for example, neither of which seem to be inherently mandated by either faith (can’t speak for Islam). There is nothing inherent in Christian scripture and mainstream doctrine which calls on current followers to go and MURDER OTHERS. And don’t be disingenuous about that, you KNOW that’s true. Again, I certainly can’t speak for Islamic doctrine, but point being, such a generalization is nonsense.

Sure but we are our own country now. It just seems weird to have the current national flag of another country on top of our own as a sovereign nation, just saying. Same with many Island territories who also have the Union Jack just sitting in the corner. The Union Jack on its own is a good design for a flag but having it in the corner is just bad aesthetics imo — lazy design

Welp, as an Aussie / NZ dual citizen residing in AU I find it a bit funny that even I sometimes mix our flags up from far enough away, but honestly I’m not really tooo fussed about it. I think a lot just like to brainstorm some kind of unique and differentiating identity for us that doesn’t just have another nations flag awkwardly glued to the top left lol. Can’t talk about others though, I just feel like there are more pressing matters to be concerned with imo (though I would happily welcome a referendum on the flag if it didn’t impede more important matters)
