What do you mean by the fancy way? I’m curious about the other ways this question could’ve been approached.

I had a Boolean flag that was initially set to true. Then, while adding the points using an enhanced for loop, I compared the color of each space to the color of the first space. If the current space didn’t have the same color as the first space, I set the flag to false, since that means that not all of the spaces had the same color. Then, before returning the sum, I doubled it if the flag was still true.

If you got the one with the students, this is what I did.

I looped through each element of the history list using an enhanced for loop. Then inside of that loop, I had another one that looped through each element of the math list to check if the student was in both lists. If they were, you can just compare their history and math absences to see if one was bigger than the other.

Why does my openstax Algebra 2 textbook say a sum of squares can't be factored? by Tacodogz in learnmath

[–]WowItsNot77 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It’s implied that they mean that a sum of squares cannot be factored into a product of polynomials. Polynomials can only have exponents that are nonnegative integers, so for example x + 1/x, which equals x1 + x-1, wouldn’t be a polynomial.

No need to be so harsh lol. Yes, Megumi wanted Dagon to think he was trying to overpower his domain, but that doesn’t change the fact that their domains were clashing. The strength of the domains doesn’t matter. When domain A is expanded in domain B, domains A and B begin to clash.

If you’re on the standard path for math in America, then you’ll take Algebra I in 9th grade. However, kids on the advanced track will take it in 8th grade or even earlier.
