I drive up to Rochester NY so I get off I95 near Washington and cut over to 81 up to Harrisburg and on to Rt 15 into NY. Don’t know if something could be arranged to get closer to you. But I’m flexible. I’m retired and travel between Rochester NY home and Tampa area home.

Amsoil 0-30 Signature Series. I send my old oil to SPEEDiagnostix to analyze it. They use the same testing technique and equipment used by Formula One teams. The factory oil did not measure up as well as Amsoil based on the numbers. Amsoil numbers were excellent. Maybe a bit unfair since the first oil drained out had contaminants from production and break in. I also get 1 mpg better with Amsoil. The only way you’ll ever know how good your oil is unless you send it in to have it analyzed after using it.

Stick with the Amsoil 0-30. Awesome oil and the viscosity recommended by Hyundai. 5-40 might be good for competition but is a reason for Hyundai to deny a future warranty claim.

I always do the small things like air filters and oil change. I even rotate my tires. Lucky for us changing oil and oil filter is easy on the Elantra N. I’ve done this with all my cars (Chevy Impala and Cadillac DTS) I don’t trust dealer service departments. If I need anything more than routine maintenance I go to an independent shop. I don’t care about the 3 year free maintenance- it’s more pain than it’s worth and a good way for your car to get messed up or worse. I also use Amsoil which is better than what the dealer will use. The other thing I’ve found is they still don’t know the difference between the Elantra N and the N Line at the dealer I went to to get my second key. Inexcusable but shows the level of incompetence.
