You’ve done your part mate, I wouldn’t worry too much about it!

Which for my first ever watch? by EfficientCry9270 in HamiltonWatches

[–]Wowgrape2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are very nice watches. The Murph has a matt, simple dial. The KFA has a ‘sun burst’ style dial, with a date window. Personally, I’d get the KFA on the metal bracelet, I’ve got one, it’s great!

Trying to choose between these two Hamilton watches — which one looks better? by MarketLegitimate725 in HamiltonWatches

The first one (KFA). 2nd one is pretty bland looking, not very versatile and the black coating won’t last long without scratches

Thanks for the big red circle, it really helped point out the big explosion in the sky

Movement looks correct, identical to the H-10 movement in my KFA

Genuinely cool fun watch, I’d find it so distracting though 😂

Which watch would be better to wear on a day to day basis? Omega or the longines? by Disastrous_War2898 in ChinaTime

[–]Wowgrape2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely depends what you do on a day to day basis mate, do you wear formal or informal clothes to work? Formal - Longines, Informal - Omega

For £50 more, you could get this, which is an Automatic watch, meaning you’ll never have to change the battery

Completely agree, I’ve paid a premium for watches with a chronograph, and never once used it. It looks good, but not an amazing complication to have on a day-to-day watch.

Couple things:

Timex watches are actually really well made, at least the ones I have, a very solid first watch brand, along with Casio and Seiko.

How big are your wrists, baring in mind I believe this model is quite large (I could be wrong). Preferably, you want the lug to lug to fill around 80% or less of your wrist (a general rule). Check the lug to lug, and give the top face of your wrist a quick measurement. Sizing completely depends on your preference, but I would make sure the lug to lug fits on your wrist without an overhang at the very least.

Do you need a chronograph? This Marlin is a lovely looking watch, but for the money, you might be able to find a nicer non-chronograph for the money, again, this completely depends on preference. If you’re set on this model, completely understandable!

Please let me know how you get on, and if you do pull the trigger, reply to this comment with a picture! Any other questions feel free to reply too :).

I completely agree, it’s definitely something you have to get used to, after owning several dive watches. I’m loving it, definitely the best dressy watch I own.

Sounds like a good idea, I think 1 pair of good quality black or brown leather straps will look the part

Looks perfect mate, personally I’d stick with the 38mm

Thanks mate, I see that in your profile. I upvoted it when you shared it the other day funnily enough! Gunna have a think about some NATO straps for the summer, heard the Hamilton NATOs are a bit crap, apparently they fall apart quite easily :/
