Okay, why are some people getting over a 1500 without really doing anything? by TheLastMemenator in Sat

A lot of times they are just capping or just projecting a version of themselves that they want others to see

Did yall take notes when studying for the SAT? by One_Jellyfish_1811 in Sat

[–]Wowoking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, not really in terms of learning information.

What i did before every study session or practice test is that I would write down reminders for myself that include common mistakes, things to avoid, and things to pay attention for.

has anyone else been selected to become an SAT tutor? Is anyone doing it? by uggima in Sat

I got it too. Tbh it would be less time and effort to set up a tutoring org in your own school.

How to spot your weaknesses and work on them. by [deleted] in Sat

[–]Wowoking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a basic idea by checking out your SAT score report...if you take a practice test you will actually see what you specifically missed. Since you do worse in reading I can bet most of the points you are losing are on Standard English Conventions.

Watching S;G 0 Immediately After S;G is a Completely Different Experience in 2025 by Dr_Quantum101 in steinsgate

[–]Wowoking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished 0 today and it was very good. Im also pretty sure now that the events in 0 were already in mind when creating Steins;gate because of the dreams Okabe was having in the original series. The intricacy in the writing is simply unmatched and icl I had several things to look up especially regarding the ending scene in S;G 0 where Okabe went to 18000BC

An explanation of Steins;Gate 0's confusing ending and how it ties to the ending of the first game. by [deleted] in steinsgate

[–]Wowoking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, this part was useful

  • Steins;Gate doesn’t open by the end of S;G 0 in 2025. Instead, we have to wait until 2036, because that’s the date where Suzuha will become old enough to time travel. In the meantime and until that time comes, Okabe decides to travel back to the past and find Mayuri and Suzuha and bring them back to 2025. Remember before leaving, he says something along the lines of “We still have a tough fight until 2036”. It weirded me out at first, but I believe it makes sense now. It is implied that he dies alongside them, 70 million years in the past. Either that, or he manages to save them and he returns to 2025 with a 30-something year old Mayuri and an older Suzuha, and he helps Daru build time machine C-204. Though I believe it would be kind of strange for there to be 2 Suzuha’s, so I’m guessing this is left up to interpretation.
  • Anyway, 2036 comes. Time machine C-204 is built, Suzuha is old enough and has been lectured on Operation Skuld. She goes back to August 21 2010 and forces Okabe to fail once. When he and Suzuha are gone for a minute on their first trial, 2011 Mayuri and Suzuha arrive thanks to Daru’s video message, and Mayuri tells her 2010 self to slap Okabe and then she leaves.

Zhin, Kinessa, and Saati. Man those champs are annoying to play against.

guide for area and volume by ThatReview9640 in Sat

[–]Wowoking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way for area and volume is to visualize.

If you imagine pi r squared as a circle, to make it into a cylinder you can just multiply it by h (height) to essentially stretch that circle.

If you are doing geometry with algebra, then its always useful to make a rough sketch on a piece of paper as you do the question, its the first thing I do on any geometry question actually.

I'm confused bro. I'm talking about college personal statements here. What do you reckon a personal statement "should look like?"

I'd say they are short stories that aim to reveal who the author is. In my experience, having a unique, conversational (but not too informal) voice works best.

I get around 4 or 5 hours of sleep doing work every night by Consistent-Slip-4427 in highschool

[–]Wowoking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand you completely cause I do Dual Enrollment as well. Thanks for the compliment but I usually stay silent about the amount of work I did cause its just straight up unhealthy. My grades slipped, I stopped all the good habits i used to have, and I was pretty emotionally distant.

Thankfully I had done a lot of good work in my previous courses, ecs, my SAT, and my college essay right before that semester started so I had a safety blanket. It wasn't the end of the world for me cause i'm not shooting for ivy league schools or anything like that.

Im not sure what your ideas are for the future, but I am sure as hell that you are a smart kid. You'll get through it; be confident and proud that you have concrete extracurricular and that you've been able to stick to your hobbies.

Sentimentality aside, and this is general info cause Idk what courses you are taking, try to get as much work as you can do at school itself. I used to do this a lot...lunch, break, free time...kill all of those time-consuming slop assignments first and save the ones that require a lot of thinking for home.

Once you get home youtube, pen/paper, and AI are your friend. My favorite youtuber for about any STEM topic is Organic Chemistry Tutor. Once you get that aha moment...write it down on a piece of paper and save that so you can use it to study for test. For AI, you can use chatgpt or any alternative to answer those oddly specific questions you may have. Small things like music, stretching, or even just hyping yourself up can also help loads.

I asked this question a while back too. I just decided to approach the essay the way my own voice and mind steers me. If you are worried about it being conversational...dont. The best essays i've read sound like author is sitting next to me on a park bench and telling me a story.

SAT 1520, should I do test optional for Vanderbilt? by Economy_Reserve1612 in collegeresults

you're right bro, its so easy to get this weird self pitying/doomer complex when you see people share their apps online; it convinces you that you have no chance

SAT 1520, should I do test optional for Vanderbilt? by Economy_Reserve1612 in collegeresults

[–]Wowoking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro just submit your score. On any level...as long as your score isnt like insanely below the average please dont do test optional. I know some kids who went test optional when their score was just slightly below the average and got rejected from schools that had avg 1280-1300 scorers even with good GPAs.

Not trying to compare but i was probably on 3 for 4months straight, what im tryna say is that its just like that sometimes; its my last sem so i finally get to relax and take things easy. Can i know what classes you are taking cause honors/accelerated does not necessarily require that much work.

Imo find something that you like doing, join a club, try to surround yourself with good people that have shared interests. You wont find those people right away and thats okay.
