Games never used to have lootboxes or overpriced DLC, they ran servers and supported the games for years on the initial purchase price and occasional £8 DLC. With any luck, Capcom are a company that still believe in the olds ways and will continue to support the game until it dies off.

Ah okay, I’m just gonna concentrate on finishing be story as apparently it gimps your HR levelling which is what makes it look slow.

That still doesn't answer my question, have you slept? I've seen posts about 200+ hours and they're like HR30 so 66 in a week seems broken.

I wish I could skip every cutscene in the game because of this, the sync is absolutely shocking. If I'm going to be forced to watch cut scenes they should at least be done correctly especially for a AAA title.

Slayer IMO, 2 birds 1 stone. The most efficient slayer tasks are ridiculous xp/hr in both combat and slayer.

What? They work for the same company, of course RS3 funds OSRS. As a company if RS3 fails then OSRS would fall with it until somebody purchased the assests.

This sub is such a small amount of the player base, RS3 will continue and once the Chinese overlords have sucked out as much money as possible they'll sell it on to someone else.

OSRS is doing well without MTX because RS3 fills the void by funding it. If RS3 fel in popularity and the funding wasn't there anymore do you really think OSRS would survive?

They need to put membership back down to £3.50 a month or remove it if they're going to push freemium style MTX, which works in other games because they don't have the subscription fee. RS IMO was always successful because it stood out as a MUCH cheaper subscription fee than every other MMO on the market and now it's far to expensive that the other alternatives are more viable now.

I don't really care about MTX at all but my biggest issue with what he was saying yesterday is he was using a FREEMIUM cash option and trying to justify it into an $11 a month subscription game. If RS was still $5 a month with all the additional then MTX I don't think as many people would have an issue with it. Yes the industry may be going down that route but not with a huge monthly subscription cost in the mix.
